I don't run either. LOL. Maybe I can be ya'lls paparazzi.

That would be sweet! Last September when I ran it with Brian I thought Tracey did pretty good. I expected the airplane pics, knew he couldn't resist. But then he totally missed the mark on the end. Lol! So, yeah, it'd be great to have pics to remember the experience!

Although....I always have this vision of people pointing & laughing as we drag our wretched bodies along.... I live on the coast. 100 degrees isn't unusual here. It's hot & it's humid. The Bahamas at 9 am in September can only be described as Robin Williams did in 'Good Morning Vietnam': Its hot. Daaaamn hot.

I wish DCL would dock even an hour earlier, maybe 2. They could have the 5k participants meet in a lounge, clear the ship for debarkation, then escort the runners to the course at 7:30 or 8. It's pretty obvious why they don't do that, tho. The entire ship would be signing up for the run just to get out on the island early then ditch the group once the run started. :(

I'm a firm believer in those that can, do. Those that can't, or just plain don't want to, sit in lawn chairs in the shade holding fruity drinks with little umbrellas in them.

LOL! I do have my days when I debate fighting the bulge or just accepting and embracing it. This really is a solid push towards taking up the lawn chair.... :p

If that ever was to happen, maybe DCL could charge a deposit that you get back after running?

I'll walk with anyone, anywhere for however long it takes. Heck, I'd even walk to Disney if that's what I had to do to get there. But for me to run ANYWHERE, there better be a whole car full of clowns and all of them with knives and crossbows chasing after me.

Kelly, I know how ya feel. Couple years ago, I had that very debate with myself. I thought, c'mon, your in the second half of your fourth decade, it's normal to put on a bit of weight, I like my nice dinners and my glasses of wine, just make your peace with the extra poundage...and then I couldn't do it. Started eating better and exercising. Lost a good bit of weight. I'm tellin' ya, right now, I could achieve visible "six-pack abs", even at my age, if I didn't like my vino...having my couple glasses of wine with dinner (or beer with bbq) is the reason why I keep up with the exercise.

@Tiggerfanatic, I think we have a lot in common!!! ;) (except for the clowns with the bloody knives, that's just freaky, woman!!)

@joanna71985, please don't worry, I am not a total drunkard!! I will be a responsible and respectful roomie!! :D
