I will be in the parks for a couple of days prior to the cruise. I am definitely interested in hearing about any pre-cruise meetings. I am thinking of doing the Luau the night before we cruise in keeping with a tropical theme for this trip. Do we have an up to date number of how many staterooms are booked now? How many ladies are cruising?

I wouldn't be opposed to fish extenders for the girls cruise. Not sure about WDW before. Maybe. I'd like to meet up with the group but don't really care if that happens at WDW or not. I did think Typhoon Lagoon the day before embarkation in May was pretty awesome. TL + the Luau sounds great!

I've never done the Luau but that sounds like a fantastic idea.

Are we thinking about doing fish extenders for this cruise?
I'm in - already have an idea for what I want to bring!

The big thing is making the fish extenders. It's not like when you go with your family and you can count on using them again since you're always the same people. They're easy enough to make, tho. I can help with that part for each stateroom. More stuff to be planning for!!! :D

I'm not that creative though

You don't have to be creative at all for the gifts. Maybe a little for the extender.

I will definitely be in at least one day early, I don't ever fly in the day of a cruise and anyone who is flying shouldn't either! :) I don't know how early I'll come in or how late I'll stay, yet. We just don't know where we'll live at that point. I'll know more at the beginning of the year and can start planning that part!

Yeah. Not to the same extent as y'all but we're kinda in this boat. Next June our lease will be up and I don't see us staying in the apartment indefinitely. We'll have to make a decision to move to a rental house, buy another house, or something. It's hard to imagine what kind of time I'll have on my hands before/after the cruise. I prob'ly should plan something with my old man after the cruise since 9/18/13 will be our 20th anniversary.

I'm down for anything!!! The luau sounds awesome since I think we are planning on staying at the Poly, it will be right there at our resort!! I think we're going to also try and fly in either Friday night or Saturday AM. I know we will stay and do WDW til at least Sunday after the cruise. This will be my sisters "big" vacation next year (I'm going to the world in May with my aunt and cousins but Ashley can't get time off from work.) So I fear if we don't do the parks for at least a few day she might have heart failure lol

I'm definitely IN for doing the parks before/after (or both!) the cruise. I will be flying solo so I'll definitely be looking for a roomie (or a couch to crash on!) for the park days. I also have no idea where I'll be next year (Fiance's residency match is in February 2013) so we're [read: I) am really hoping for Florida. But regardless of where we are living - I am down to extend this vacation with a few park days!

ALSO - I'm not crafty at all...luckily my roomie is super creative and can make an extender if we need one (Thanks Kelly! Hahaha!) but I could probably come up with a few cute gift ideas! But if the extenders + everything else is a hassle for some...I'm OK with scrapping it. It's down low on my list of important cruise things to experience.

#1, 2 and 3 experiences are all food. Just sayin...

Totally off-topic but I have to whine publicly for a moment...:(

Last week Chandler (the 16 yro son) got his driver's license. I added him to our car insurance over the weekend. I could just cry. My insurance cost DOUBLED. That fast. 1 teenager and the cost is doubled. Ugh! That hurts. I never ever ever dreamed I'd see my monthly outgo on car insurance over $400. Technically he has to pay for half the increase ($100/month) which makes it not so bad for us, per se. I seriously don't think my parents' policy doubled when I was a teen or I don't think I'd have been allowed to drive. And just think, in less than 18 months I'll have another 16 year old boy to insure. Someone shoot me now.... :(

Apparently thére's a a big difference between insuring a boy and a girl, but ours doubled also. I heard it would be bad, but I was in shock.
