As in, very end of September? I'll be there Sept 28-Oct 2 and would love to meet up with cruisers!!

...and it's clear that you are a very generous soul. ;) Will look forward to both meals with you, and, since you are my roomie, would LOVE to be able to meet you (even briefly, whatever your schedule allows) at end of Sept!!

I'll be offline for a week, ladies, I found out last night that my aunt is on her deathbed in Ireland and will be flying out tonight with my dad (at 80, he can't travel on his own anymore, and also, I am very fond of my aunt). "See" you all when I get back...

Hopefully we can meet up afterwards! That would be fun to have a post-cruise meet

And I'm sorry about your aunt :(

People are going to KNOW us on this cruise. It'll be like "oh thats that group of ladies that have WAY too much fun everywhere they go. I'm jealous I'm not with them." And we will look at them like "Pshh we know.":p

Oh yeah! :D

Yes, Tiggerish. We will be there Sept 27th-Oct 4th. We will definitely have to meet up at some point. Joanna, you are welcome to join us also. I tried to find you when I was there in May/June, but you were off both times I asked.

Thanks, Tammy and Kelly. I didn't know how much they are willing to accommodate you at Palo and Remy. If you both think I would be able to eat there being a picky eater, count me in! I'm all for new experiences.

Well, I haven't booked yet, but looks like I'll be heading that way :) ...I found a girlfriend who wants to go and got the blessing from hubby to hang out with a whole bunch of crazy non-ax murderers for a few days! Now to look at the numbers and figure out when I can book! My girlfriend who is going with me (just incase one ax murderer slips through the cracks I got back up..lol) is leaving for vacation and when she gets back we're having dinner to discuss it more! I'm excited, but not nearly as excited as I'll be when I'm booked and all is set....

For those of you that don't know me, I've been around the forums awhile, but since I took my new position at work I'm not on often as I used to be. I am 34, married and have two kids...DD 13 and DS 4. (Yep, there's a big gap between babies, the first baby came with my first marriage and rose-colored glasses, and second came with a wonderful second marriage and little more life experience under the belt) I live an hour east of WDW, actually very close to Port Canaveral...we won't even have to pay for parking, one of the hubbies can drop us off. This will be my first Disney cruise!

My girlfriend I asked to come answered my text with "HECK YA MAMA". She is 39+, and has been married for very long time. She has two DS's who are older..like 10 and 15??? Great friend I am I know, i can't remember their ages. She's been on all sorts of cruises, and mulitple Disney. She works for a private travel agency in the area where we live. (that's one of the reason we need to have dinner....to figure out if we're booking with her or if we're going to do it with KK)

Together we're a blond and redhead who are laid back, love girly drinks, and lots of them, with sun and fun! One of my other girlfriends once put it as GAS (Girlfriends, Alcohol, Sun) so yes, I love my GAS!

No problem. Again, when I'm at Palo & Remy on the Dream at the end of September I'll make it a point to ask how things can be made to accommodate even the pickiest of eaters. Can I ask, tho, what specific likes/dislikes you have? Is it a veggie thing? Certain meats? Vegetarian? Or just not so comfortable with the complex flavor combinations? Don't care for spices? I'll try to get an idea of just how custom they can get with the dishes. I don't see any reason you couldn't go and have just as amazing an experience as we all will. Plus, we don't want to miss out on your smilin' face and fab-o company. Wanna make sure we can make it work for you!

I'm down with the GAS, too!!!! I'm so glad it looks like you're jumping in with us! Yay for more axe-murderers!!! Woot! Can't wait!

hahaha! I'm pretty excited, I'm sure you'll hear from me via email soon as I begin getting closer to booking! (Got to get through school regestrations and school clothes first)

I love this time of year. Wanna know why? Because if I was gonna buy "school clothes" for the boys I'd be buying pajamas. LOL! I know, I'm terrible. You can smack me. I understand. LOL! I hated buying school supplies and uniforms/clothes. For the 2 of them I'd usually be out between $1000-$1500 for everything. THEN I'd have to buy jeans, hoodies, etc. for them to wear when not at school on top of that because their builds are so different they neeeeever can hand clothes down from one to the other. So annoying! If it makes you feel any better, tho, last year we spent a chunk getting ready for the homeschool year because we bought 2 laptops plus curriculum for 2. That was in the realm of the old school supply/uniform days. This year was niiiice because Brian is going into 9th grade & Chandler is going into 10th. They can both still use the same laptops. Brian is using Chandler's curriculum from 9th so we only had to buy the 10th grade material plus science lab kits for both grades. PLUS, I can resell the stuff Brian just finished. Yay! So all-told I think I'm out maaaaaybe $500 max. Muuuuch better! I think when Chandler hits 11th grade it's going to get more expensive again because I'll be seeking out dual-enrollment courses online for him so he can get college credit along with his high school stuff. I imagine that's gonna set us back a bit. **sigh**

I don't have to smack you because I'm sure at one point during the school year you'll have one of those moments where you're struggling to get them to do what they're supposed to and they'll be on your last nerve and I'll sit back while mine are at school....lol :)

It's not a bad set up you have there with the boys, although you bought 2 laptops, it's probably something you'd have gotten anyways, i know my daughter has a laptop and i'm sure if my son was closer in age he'd have to have one too....and the fact you can use Chandler's curriculum for Brian and then resell Brians stuff helps!! (More spending money for our GAS trip!)

Thanks for asking for me. I don't eat veggies, I don't care for certain cheeses and I don't eat game. (I'm sure you know what I mean by game, right? ;)) When I look at the menus for Palo and Remy, they seem a little too fancy for me. I'm picky, but I'm a weird picky. LOL. Things you would think that I wouldn't eat I do, and the stuff you think I would eat I probably don't like. Some of the dishes sound good until I get to a certain ingredient. Maybe they would make them without certain things? I would love to eat there with everyone though. I could get all dressed up and feel fancy!

We will! We were thinking at the one year point we could get a list going of excursions, Palo, Remy etc. :)

Well then...I cannot WAIT for the one year mark. To think how long ago we started planning this - and I thought "it's so far from now...there is so much to do!" And soon we'll be at the one year mark. Love it.
(now off to read about palo and remy and other excursions so I'm up to date on my cruise knowledge...)

I know! Isn't it exciting! Of course the one year mark is totally arbitrary, it justs seems like a monument!! :)

That would be fun! For some reason, I have a horrible track record when it comes to meeting people at work

Tammy let's get this list going before next May as to who wants Remy,Palo, etc and their information.

Pam

I just bought the cutest Minnie Mouse pencil holder at Walmart. It's the perfect size and shape to hold my makeup and it went straight into the cruise bag! Ok, admit it, I'm not the only one who is really excited and already buying stuff.....

I did see you at work once. Last October, you were working inside so I didn't really have much of a chance to say anything. We just all need to plan ahead this time. Hopefully you can join us, instead of us trying to find you at work. You know, since you have a bad track record and all. :D

I'm definitely in for Palo and Remy! ...and as a result I should probably do the Castaway Cay 5K  :D

Since the cruise is one month before my wedding - i think I'll NEED the Castaway 5K after all the food pictures I've just drooled over on the Dream. And then yesterday I went for my run outside (instead of the treadmill) and it was 95 and I about DIED. And I only ran like 2 miles (ok ran 1, walked 1 - guilty). A 5K in that heat - I'll need a fresh drinky drink at the finish line followed by DIVING into the water.
