No way I'd try to go live. Not even sure I'll report the girls cruise part. Maybe. I dunno. I have a lot after that to report on, too. LOL!

So...what I wanna know is who's been nominated to do the trip report? Are you all gonna try and do it live? Maybe have different people do different days?

I will be doing my own trip report. I figured we will all have different stories to tell, so I will be telling mine. Even though I still have one to finish and another to to before the girls cruise report. Lol. I will get to them all eventually.

@Mrs.Skellington I have 7 pairs of shoes packed so far and am trying to find room for the 8th! I have 2 suitcases and a shoulder bag - thinking of exchanging the shoulder bag for a wheeled backpack instead because that bottle of rum is going to be heavy to lug around that first day.

@plaz10 I have just packed one lightweight hoodie and one pair of jeans. Leaving room to buy a sweatshirt if I need it.

<jots notes>

7 pairs of shoes? Between the kiddo and I we only took 6! (Dress, Running, Flip Flops for me, Flip Flops, Dress and Dress Sandles for the kiddo)

Is this what I should expect come future trips with her when I don't have as much control over her packing list???

Well, at least the rooms have those nice shoe organizers!

Good grief! Marty Sklar will be doing a book signing at the Art of Disney / DtD from 11-12:30 on the day we get off the ship. I may need to go to this.

I need to do this too. I am too excited!

Um is it bad I haven't started packing yet???????? But I do already know what I'm taking....I have a mental packing list. Haven't decided on shoes yet.....hmmm...decisions decisions....

I HAVENT EITHER! I'm the same way...got a "mental list" and knowing that it means I will over pack but forget some essentials haha.

I know I need new mint/teal shoes to wear with my one dress. I'm on the hunt!

I'm not packing yet either. I'm in no hurry. I'll pack a day or so before I leave. Right now I'm just piling the random stuff I know I'll forget in 1 place.

Don't even get me started on shoes. I went to Dillard's like a week ago looking for a white peep toe heel to wear with my pink silk Lilly dress. This sales girl had me try 2 different white stilleto pumps. I was like, "I can't walk in heels like this & are you looking at my squatch feet here???" I swear before Jesus all I did was stand up in those shoes and the ball of my foot felt like it was going to explode. I'd kick those off before getting to the elevator bank. I asked the girl if they had any lower heels or maybe a kitten heel. She said, "Girl, you're too young for that. Old ladies wear low heels. You need these, Mama." Um, I'm no spring chicken. Chandler got real quiet. He got mad. I laughed at the girl. I told her I must be old then because I wasn't spending good money on shoes that are that wrong for my feet. Found a perfectly nice pair of white leather peep toe kitten heels at DSW that look perfect with my dress. And, sorry, I don't look like an old lady. I look classy! Grrrr!!! So don't give up on those shoes! You'll find what's right for you!

Seriously ladies...your feet are not your assets. <grin>

(I wonder if I should run away quickly now)...yes, I should...

<runs away quickly!>
Well if we ran around barefoot it'd be waaaay too close to a particular female stereotype. The fact that you boys don't notice the shoes is testament to our ability to pull ourselves together. And, yes, your daughter will expand her need for shoes. And you'll buy and pack them! Trust me. At 18 I was still dragging my dad to shops to show him the prettiest dresses....and he always took out the checkbook.... Girls have a way with Daddy's. ;)

Don't remind me...she already likes boys...and that's bad enough!

What my daughter doesn't understand yet is that I am quite familiar with the "girly" side of life...though she got a taste when we went perfume shopping at Grand Caymen and I talked shop with the salesperson (I used to work for Calvin Klein...brief, but enough that I know all the basic sales stuff, terms, and what to look for...I prefer the Guerlain lines myself...but...)

...and don't get me started on makeup, I did theatrical outdoor makeup for two summers...and am quite familiar with it as well. Mac, actually, is my favorite brand...

She was shocked that I could "clean up" her nails and feet (yep, I let her paint them herself, and packed the nail polish removal pads in anticipation that she would screw them up, and then touched them up)...

None of it perplexes me, though it is admittedly out of date (over a decade ago)...for example when you all started bringing up "Brazilian"...I won't say your hair coloration was the first thing that popped in my mind...

This is odd, but somehow I see me doing this one day...

Last night I went to Five Guys and ordered nothing. (Ate at home before we went.) I served cake to a house full of family afterwards and I didn't even lick the knife. I am SUPERWOMAN!!!!!

((Saving my splurges!))

Talk about will power!! Go Kelly!!! WOOT!!!

Side note, has anyone been contacted to try the new Magic Band, FP+ thing for after the cruise? My mom received an invitation today via UPS for this. I think we'll give it a go. Why not? 3 guaranteed FPs each day PLUS the ability to get regular FP? Count me IN!!!!
