Rumor Inside Out to Replace Journey into Imagination with Figment?

Ah, I see. I was wondering what they would do with a space like Wonders that is so unique in its’ design and layout. A single IP wouldn’t really serve the pavilion. The Land, god forbid, has a similar setup. I would imagine it would be a mix.....

My thought as well. Dr. Strange has been one of the legit rumors for that location but it's hard to see that whole space being devoted to just that character (assuming they want or plan on using the whole space). Not to say Dr. Strange couldn't be involved, it would just make more sense for him to be featured alongside other Marvel properties that are OK to use in FL in such a large space (again, assuming they want to use the whole space). A more general science-related theme like health would not be so limited in scope and could easily allow for the utilization of multiple IPs in appropriate manner. As mentioned previously, Big Hero 6, Inside Out, and even WALL-E would make a lot of sense in such a scenario.

Was “a ride through Michael Jordan’s imagination” a real concept to replace the original JII? And the Wallace and Gromit characters?

It’s a process similar to Club 33. After being accepted from the wait list, there’s a $20k annual fee that gives you access to a weekly email newsletter consisting of bullet points compiled by a WDI intern based off conversations he overheard in the break room. Quite exclusive.
Is this true? Are you joking?

Insiders isn't really an official designation or club one can join. It's a term used for posters here who have a good track record of providing accurate news or information before it is announced or becomes common knowledge. I believe most if not all of our insiders fall into one of the following categories:

1) Currently works for Disney or one its business partners and has inside knowledge or connections.
2) Previously worked for Disney or one its business partners and his inside knowledge or connections.
3) Knows one or more persons personally or professionally who falls into #1 and/or #2 above.
4) Passionate fans who are resourceful, know where to find things, and are very observant.

While we all want to know more from these individuals, it is important to respect and appreciate what they provide and not ask for too much as they are often passing along tidbits of information that is true but not official or public if you will. In order to protect themselves and/or their sources, they sometimes have to hold back on fully divulging what they really know.

I'm kind of hoping these guys can help us figure out how to get Disney's attention about the Imagination ride and how we can possibly fix it. News is great but we live in an age where famous (or at least well-known) people can get in touch with their fandom thanks to social media. Thank goodness for technology. Let's see if we can convince Disney to use enough money and Imagineers still around to make Figment's ride worth...riding.

The insiders we have here are not famous, or really even “well known.” We don’t have Tony Baxter dropping hints (at least that we know of). We definitely don’t have Cher or Rihanna or anyone who could lobby Disney with a million twitter follower army.

They’re geeky message board famous - legends in this tiny little corner of the internet. Even in the Disney-verse their info is often perverted or outright ignored. Go check out YouTube sometime.

There is something coming to Imagination someday - the entire project is in the air and well beyond a blue sky timeline. It will be largely dependent on the whole Future World hub redesign, which from what we’ve heard from insiders is taking more precident. And frankly, rightfully so. Two empty communicore buildings is *far more* an eyesore than a ride that still largely functions, eats people, and generally puts smiles on faces.

Mind you, I absolutely adore Figment - check my icon. He does deserve a third (or fourth) go at this whole game. But that’d be like worrying about a scraped knee when the other leg has been run over by a steamroller.

I don't think most people understand that the priority for Epcot is to get the vacant buildings filled, World Showcase to get some attractions and getting GotG open, for now. There are various plans for Imagination and, we know, its being considered, its just not a priority to take down a crappy but functional attraction when there are several priorities that are in front of it.
