Dang, this movie is pretty much DOA.
Yeah it seemed like a movie that would live or die by word of mouth.Dang, this movie is pretty much DOA.
Yes but all movies tend to trend downwards (usually quite a bit) after initial reviews. Sitting at under a 50% for over a month is a very bad place for any movie to be before release. The score, even with 14 reviews, will likely not rise 10 points by the time it is released. There's only 14 reviews so far. Numbers don't mean much at this point. Most movies will have in the neighborhood of 250 reviews on RT.
Those are reviewer previews. I'm sure more than 14 professional reviewers went to the previews. There's only 14 reviews so far. Numbers don't mean much at this point. Most movies will have in the neighborhood of 250 reviews on RT.
"Hey, thanks for the spoiler," he said sarcastically.Looks like the appearance of Disney100 logo has been confirmed in the movie at Cannes film festival. From Pablo Arcadia's twitter account (Tweet in Spanish)
Of course 14 reviews are not going to be the end all be all for this movie. Should it send up some red flags? Maybe. I trust reviews about as much as I trust Iger to lower prices. The funny part is if it was 14 stellar reviews, you know that the other side would be using it the same way. This movie can easily go either way. If word of mouth is positive and the film is a fun action flick, it should do well. If it's a complete mess like crystal skull was, ruh oh Reorge.I tend to disagree. I don't think the future of this movie is going to be determined by 14 reviews on rotten tomatoes. It could very well bomb still, and people may argue that they could see it coming, but I would argue this is a very small reason of why it may or may not do so. In the small circle I may be involved in I have seen a heightened interest in this movie as opposed to other movies.
Who’s trusting the first reviews? The bigger point is the mixed reviews aren’t a good sign for its box office prospects.I always find it funny the discussion on reviews.
When it’s a critically praised movie posters on here have decided to hate (before they’ve even see it), “the critics know nothing, wait for the audience score”.
When it’s a panned movie posters on here have decided to hate, “see, it’s garbage, the critics said so!”
Hilariously predictable.
It's an issue with this forum in general. Someone will post a video of someone saying why they dislike something and they get pounced on for posting some rando YouTubers. And then that person posts an article from some rando website article, see, people change their stuff all the time! It doesn't matter the side you fall on, both sides do it all the time.I always find it funny the discussion on reviews.

This is very much a problem plaguing Disney. I have hope for the movie, but I was fully going in to this expecting the CG to be suspect. Every project, no matter the budget or IP, has multiple scenes that just look amateur. When they can't get Marvel and Star wars to look good, you know they have issues.Worse yet, they’re so heavily CGI’ed that they come off as grimly dutiful rather than thrilling or delightful.”
Not looking promising anyway you slice itAnd sometimes the reviews make no difference to the box office.
Hard to really predict at this stage.
Disney has not only refused to follow the LFL’s template for success…they seem hell bent on convincing fans they were wrong for decades?Ugh, that second sentence. So maybe they didn’t learn as much from Crystal Skull.
The trailers are awful CG…attack of rhe clones lookingThis is very much a problem plaguing Disney. I have hope for the movie, but I was fully going in to this expecting the CG to be suspect.
