I can't read through all these posts right now, all I will say is that Tom put in his time... Recording the original BTM safety ... Script work on SSE, started out as a Haunted Mansion host..ect. My opinion though, I don't like his direction with the things he finds so mind blowing, are just stupid interactive screens, they may seem cool to a 60 some year old dude, but come on, these kids today have that type of stuff at home. Bottom line, I don't like, or respect any of his ideas or direction .. To be blunt, I think he is a person who is in a position to do great things for EPCOT, but can't, and won't because he is a ....how can I put this? ... Donkey

People seem to luuuuvvvv them screens over at UNI.
Personally, a screen, like any other tool, is only as good or bad as it's implementation.

Ok...I'll give Fitz a chance.
But, please....give him proper funding!

Otherwise...you know...bad things can happen...

I actullay kinda liked Toy Story Playland. Add TSMM to it and it would be a fine kid-friendly land IMO.

I was there about a week later. One of them was in Innoventions, and I saw others in Mexico and by the exit.

Yeah. I was stopped at the gate. When answering the online survey later, I basically said that FW was in need of some TLC, particularly Imagination and Energy.

I said people who were young in the 80s fondly remember Imagination 1.0 with Dreamfinder and Figment. Now many are parents and would want to re-live the attraction and introduce their kids to it if retrofitted. Today, skunk smell. Really?

As for Energy, it's nothing but a 90s Ellen DeGenerese dreaming that she's on Jeopardy (with Alex Trebeck with black hair and a mustache no less) and dinosaurs in-between.

WDW could do better.

Imagination has been the lowest-rated attraction in FW since it opened. Even HISTA pulled in higher numbers.

That desire has been there for years. Well, I should say the desire to do something at Epcot. That something hasn't always been....umm...great.

As for putting Fitz in charge.....
I'm skeptical, and will remain so until I see something positive happen. He doesn't have my trust.

There's a short list in Glendale of senior Imagineers over 55. Not long ago, Tim Delaney was checked off the list, along with Rick Rothschild. Last year, it was Tony Baxter. And not too far below Tony's name is Tom's. (Joe's name is on the list, but he's on a temporarily hold thanks to Avatar.)

It would seem Fitz has a guardian angel. Someone high enough up the food chain to protect him with EPCOT renewal projects. Smart move. Florida is just far enough away from SoCal and the dirty Disney laundry being aired.

Great news. Will be visiting DLP in August and will see how good the Ratatouille ride is.

What I would really like to see is more countries at WS as well as expand the others to have actual rides eg Mount Fuji coaster in Japan, crazy London bus simulator in UK and so on and some new entertainment and some modernisation here and there. Future World however just needs everything it can, new rides, refurb all current ones, reopen and restore abandoned areas, new entertainment, new exhibits just start from scratch with the actual future in mind with some old time classic Epcot greatness thrown in.

Epcot could be so much more than what it currently is.

I have no illusions that a re-worked Soarin' or TT will still pull better numbers than Imagination but a re-boot couldn't hurt. And even a limited draw better than now could help with FP+ around the park.

Second, I'm getting better with acronyms but HISTA?

It replaced the Michael Jackson movie and then got replaced by it again...

Y'all need to put the Pixie Dust pipes and Figment plush down and take a good long and hard look at the guys who have been tapped for new EPCOT positions before jumping to conclusions about a BOLD NEW DAY in the EPCOT ADVENTURE.

I just wouldn't. A lot of PR spin going on ... a dizzying amount, really.
