Hiya guys i am in the sunshine state now this is my first trip and it is fantastic so far! i have never seen so many gift shops in my life! i have 1 question though where is the umbrella in mgm studio's with looks like is raining? cheers

Um, the only thing that I can think of is The Great Movie Ride in the Singing in the Rain scene.

It is on the backlot - Streets of America, just infront of the Sanfran backdrop, opposite from the entrance to Lights Motors Action. Have fun!

It's either the Singing in the Rain scene at GMR or the Muppets fountain.

I remember this from when I went in 1999, but I sure did think it was at Universal! :lookaroun Does the water work too? I think it was a fire hydrant that splashed water onto the umbrella.

Yes there is a foot plate that trigers overheard rain effect :)

I've got to show this thread to my kids. I've been saying for 10 years that there's a water trigger. But every year it never works - we only go at Christmas and it seems they disable it then. My girls think I'm crazy. My wife actually has her heel on it in this shot and . . . nothing.

The umbrella is located outside the loghts, motor, action extreme stunt show across the street on the sidewalk of the attraction.
