I know its been up a while but is it really a coincidence that the DCL website under Europe ports of call have two photos up of cruise ports that currently DCL are NOT scheduled to go to,

(1) Is Lisbon Portugal.

(2) Is this place.



Copenhagen.

That's a big coincidence with Baltic cruises for summer 2015 rumored, and one rumor of seven night cruises from a home port of.....

Copenhagen.

And hopefully the price is good as well!! But really, what a great vacation that would be: two fantastic cities as start and end point, most likely a nice number of sea days and plenty of interesting ports along the way. Am getting rather excited here!

Chandler & I have been talking more and more about what he wants to do for his graduation cruise, May 2015. I told him he could pick wherever he wanted to be (within reason) for me to hand him his diploma. He said he wants to be on a cruise, preferrably a Disney cruise. He really likes the idea of the Baltic and is willing to cross lines (other cruise lines aren't totally out of the question) to do it. I'd love it if Disney was going to be in the Baltic. I'm also going to start looking around at land-based ideas as well to keep our options open. Interesting developments, indeed....

Will be very interesting to see how many of these come true, but I saw the other thread on the survey and Tortola and San Juan keep being mentioned.

Speaking to someone 'in the know', the Magic is scheduled back in Dover for part of 2015.

I wonder if it will then go to the Baltics?

Oh! Dover, not Copenhagen... Hm. Or she could stop in Dover on a repositioning cruise... I have seen cruises around the British Isles that some cruise lines offer, I could imagine that this would be something the DCL audience could go for as well.

I just feel like the Med. is a gold mine for Disney and that the Magic isn’t leaving it anytime soon. If anything, you will see like a month of Northern cruises then the rest for the Med. Just like the Wonder is doing the one time 9 night cruise. I wouldn’t doubt all four ships in PC after the summer. Wonder (8-11 Nights) doing long cruises, Fantasy Eastern, Magic Western, Dream Bahamas.

Any 'season' of Baltic cruises would be very limited, in 2010 it was four 12 night cruises with Med before and after, so it would be similar if they do it again, there seems to be two rumors about this;-

Seven night Baltic cruises from Copenhagen.-They may squeeze a couple more in that way with longer repos from Barcelona via Amsterdam.

The Med as you say is a goldmine, and they will not go far, but also ABD Adventures by Disney/ Disney Adventures aboard, are very popular and profitable and there releasing one up Norway !

I could see that. I would like the Wonder to go somewhere besides Alaska as well but with that being a goldmine as well I doubt they will leave anytime soon. It would be interesting if Disney was to give us another ship. In the summer there are many places that it could be based from, I could see the other seasons being an issue though. They aren’t that hot in Miami and definitely not in Galveston so they just gotta find their place.
