Thank you all! I was called for jury duty yesterday, and my "gift" is that I wasn't chosen! Duval county has a 1 day, 1 trial policy, which is a lot better than the 2 weeks I had to spend the last time I served.
My husband bought me some flowers, and we're going out to my favorite restaurant tomorrow. This year isn't a "biggie" but next year should have a larger gift. (60)

Again, thank you all! I'm especially thankful that I wasn't chosen for any juries, as 3 juries were chosen from my pool for 3 capital (death penalty) trials! The defendants are going to be tried separately.
Regardless of any feelings I may have about the death penalty, I would rather not be involved in trying this case. (8 year old killed while doing homework in her bedroom during a drive-by drug related shooting) Of course, if I had been chosen, I would have done my duty to the best of my ability, but I'm relieved that I don't have to do so.
