What do you guys think the best song would be to start out RNRC? I thought Sweet Emotion would be the bee's knees. As I imagine it, you are sitting in the car listening to the bass line warm up and then right as the song kicks in, you're off!
According to my wife the song "starts on the wrong note and is too flat to start the ride." I can't imagine how she's right but decided to take a poll with some popular Aerosmith tunes.

What do you guys think?

Sweet Emotion is too slow. It wouldn't work.

Yes
Def between Sweet Emotion and Walk This Way...I chose Walk This Way though. Almost seems fitting but you're not walking?

P.S. Idiot.

Hahaha j/p

Sweet Emotion is my favorite song to ride to. I'm quite certain I'm not the only one who rides RnRC singing every word.... Nobody can hear me so why not? The way the words slide in the chorus pairs perfectly with the motion. The tempo is neither too slow nor too fast. It's not plucky. It's smooth like you're sailing along which is just like you feel as you're propelled along the ride. Sweet Emotion it is for me. Hands down.

At first but it picks up when the guitar and drums etc. come in about 20 seconds into the song. That's why I thought it would be cool, kind of slow and steady but building until it "kicks in" with the start of the ride.

All the ride tracks that I've heard have been chopped & edited. I don't believe any of them were just a play of the song as it was originally recorded. I'm pretty sure the 'Sweet Emotion' track during the ride starts out when the tempo has been picked up. To me it's the perfect fit.

I have yet to vote, but a question, Where the heck can I find a non-live version of "Back in the Saddle"...it is a "live" version on I-Tunes...yuck..and I know it was not live on the Jackie Chan movie version..I need it bad on my tunes when I cycle. I pretty much like all the versions that are being posted to vote on..I just do not get to ride the ride enough to really say which SHOULD be on an ultimate choice.

Please tell me I'm not crazy, but know I have heard "Permanent Vacation" on more than one occasion while riding. That would be my vote.

Was going to say the same. Not sure what song starts it now, but Sweet Emotion is my favorite song on the ride.

If you're going to say best Aerosmith song on that list, definitely Dream On, but even that would be rough to start the ride to.

Off the top of my head, I think I remember hearing 'Love in an Elevator' on the ride, too. I have a terrible memory so I never trust the things my brain conjurs.

Agree w/the pp, 'Dream On' is one of A's better songs but I don't think it's a good fit for the ride. Maybe when you're walking down the corridor to the exit doors leading outside.

Nope, this was playing on our last ride in May!

Walk this Way is my favourite - but I always seem to hear Sweet Emotion.. not that that's a problem ;) But Walk this Way.. please.

Just Push Play wouldn't be too bad either.

I also remember hearing Love in an Elevator. AND Sweet Emotion. AND Walk This Way.

How do they rotate the songs? Is it by train?

Huge Aerosmith fan in general here. My choice would be the Young /F.I.N.E/Love In An Elevator track that plays in one of the cars.

Walk this Way plays when you are entering/exiting the 'studio' as well as on-ride.

Love in an Elevator (ends as 'Love on a Roller Coaster') and 'Sweet Emotion' both play on-ride.

The songs heard to each ride contain some new lyrics written specifically for the attraction. (Love in an Elevator is sung as "Love in a roller coaster," for example.)
Songs heard on each car -Note: Updated Jan 2008 after 2007 refurbishment (Car license plate)
1QKLIMO: "Nine Lives"
UGOBABE: "Love in an Elevator" & "Walk This Way" (Formally UGOGIRL Pre-2004 Refurbishment)
BUHBYE: "Young ", "F.I.N.E.*" & "Love in an Elevator"
H8TRFFC: "Back in the Saddle" & "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)"
2FAST4U: "Sweet Emotion"(live)

I bring my ipod and listen to Miley Cyrus when I ride. I can't wait until it changes from RnRC with Aerosmith to RadioDisney Coaster!!!!

Totally kidding and I just vomited in my mouth thinking about that becoming a reality. I too have heard Love in an Elevator on the ride. I would like to see the day when you can pick whichever Aerosmith song you want to hear.

The "Sweet Emotion" limo is my favorite one. The best song, its actually a live version, and it doesn't switch to other songs during the ride.

Yup. Whatever you start with is going to come in during an up-tempo portion of the track. Does the ride even last long enough to listen to a complete recording?

And I think the Sweet Emotion chorus (which is basically all you're going to hear) is perfect for the start. :)

I know at least once or twice I've thought to myself while on the ride how some of the lyrics might be a bit on the racy side for Disney...even with little little kids not riding or listening because of the height requirements and all. Another good reason for editing, huh?
