I love that you can say whatever you want, regardless of how offensive, just because you happen to be on a certain side in the issue.

I love that when you write a joke you can say whatever you want regardless of what side you're on regardless of how offensive because its a joke.

Obviously you can't catch the gay from brushing up against someone, everyone knows thats not how you catch it. Obviously I don't think gay people eat children, everyone knows they're vegetarians and obviously I don't thing gay people wear purses, we all know they wear packs.

I have wikipedia.

And I can take a joke.

Then I apologize. Your tone didn't translate properly in my reading, and I took your post as sarcastically demonizing the OP.

Heck...I can't even tell who's on "what" side on these threads....it always turns into a free for all.

I laughed when you said "______". :ROFLOL:
Though I don't necessarily agree with "_______" or "______".

Okay, time to shut this thread. It can't get any more _______ up than it already is.

In all fairness, comparing PDA at Gay Days to the OP's local park or whatever is not relevant in this case. I don't pay 2-4k to go to my local park or whatever. I don't drive 13+ hours or more to go to my local park. If the rumors were true(and I'm sure they're not), then why wouldn't he want to know beforehand?

I make sure not to go on Gay Days, but I agree that you have to worry about "straight" folks also. As a matter of fact, I had to verbally scold some teens that were sitting next to us at the little snack place in between Pirates and Splash. They kept using VERY offensive langauge in front of my 10 and 9 year old.

Personally, I don't want to see anyone making out in the parks, no matter what sexual orientation.

I was at WDW during Gay Days in 2009. I'm not ultra conservative, but I would say I'm rather sheltered. My children were 5 and 3. I saw nothing inappropriate.

I wondered at first if anyone even went. My sisters in law and some friends here acted like they wouldn't be caught dead at Gay Days at WDW. Looking back, I realize they don't even care to go to Disney unless they must. I quickly discovered from those on this forum that I was wrong. The biggest thing to worry about is the crowds. They say MK on the Saturday of Gay Days is a crush of people. You can google 'Gay Days WDW' and you can find the official schedule and what park Gay Days is being celebrated at each day. That should help avoid the crowds.

PS - Don't wear red. :D

I think this is really being blown out of proportion. Answer the op's question without assuming he is a homophobe. Refrain from sarcastic remarks and crude jokes. If you can't answer the question in a constructive manner, then don't post.

OP- try a thread search or even a Google search.

Hm...

To be clear, I have a grand total of zero problems with gay employees, guests, or events at WDW. It wouldn't make a drop of difference to me if Gay Days became an officially sanctioned event. What I don't like is that a concerned father is labeled a "homophobe" because he holds an opinion that is different than yours.

While I have been there 2 years ago during the same week in question, I did not experience anything that I felt would be harmful to my young kids. That being said i do understand the concerns this parent has and of course he is not some type of homophobe.

I'm just puzzled that anyone would think that the streets of the Magic Kingdom would suddenly turn into the West Village during the Halloween parade (now THAT'S a wild, fun time). It's still Disney, folks...
