Yeah, couple years back I had some trouble with similar stuff. The issue was with the "words", if you know what I mean. Nix the words and you may stand a fighting chance...

I still wish I could go :( Oh and my EPCOT merchandise has been pulled from cafepress. I kinda figured it would happen. But I think I got my order in just in time....I'll be sure to wear it on 10/01 so I'll be there in spirit!! :D

Update on the IllumiNations Dessert Party:
The Italy Isola will hold ~200 people, and I have put a courtesy hold on that space for us.

The venue charge is $500 which includes event guides. There is an outdoor setup fee of $75. The dessert packages range from $19.50 per person to over $40.

The $19.50 package includes:
Florida Lemon Bars
Double Chocolate Brownies
Large Chocolate Chunk Cookies
Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Sugar Cookies
Chewy Rice Crispy Treats
Chocolate Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares
Coffee, Decaffeinated Coffee, Hot Tea and Fruit Punch

A deposit of $500 will be due to reserve the space for us. The remainder is due 30 days in advance.

My quick calculations put the total for ~100 people at about $31 per person including tax and gratuity. Obviously for more people the venue charge spread out over more people so if we end up with 200 people it would be more like $28 per person.

Just looking for ideas, opinions, etc. on where to go from here. I can post the other dessert menus if anyone wants, the next step up is $24.50 per person.

One question.... how does it tie in with Illuminations? Do we get the Italian island reserved or something??

You can tell I`m normally a (semi) regular tourist :D

I'd love to see the other menu(s)--- for myself, Epcot's 25th only comes around once, so I have no problems spending a bit more if the food is worth it.

How soon would the deposit have to be put down?

Yup, we have the island in front of Italy reserved just for us, from 8:00 pm to 9:30 pm. They put up a plant barrier and someone is there with a list of names to control access. So we'll be able to hang out, mingle, and snack for an hour then have a prime spot to view IllumiNations.

Keep in mind that we can pick only one package, so everyone will have the same thing.

The deposit will be due sometime next week, or else we'll lose our courtesy hold on the space. I believe the deposit is non-refundable, so we'll have to make some decisions soon!

The first three have 20-person minimums, the Deluxe is 30, and the Supreme is 50. I don't think we'll have a problem with that.

Like I said in an earlier post, someone should PM Kevin Page or Bwana Bob. They handled this exact same scenario for the meet in summer 2004.

Mmm trifle!! Now I'm hungry...

I doubt I'd be able to stay to watch the fireworks, as I'll have to drive back up to school before Tuesday, but we'll see. I really just want to be at Epcot during that day, if only for a brief moment.
