Does anyone have a favorite restaurant or menu item that is no longer available?

How about the teriyaki burgers at the old "Adventureland Veranda" at MK!

Or the Fireworks Factory at Pleasure Island.

At Fort Wilderness they used to have a pizza bar where you put on all the toppings that you want and then they bake it for you. I always liked that as a youngster.

Since they've changed the restaurant in Italy from Alfredo's to Tutto Italia I have been very disappointed with the food. That was my favorite restaurant in EPCOT.

The Empress Lily at the Marketplace aka Downtown Disney. Anyone remember that place? I think it's Fulton's Crab House now, if I'm not mistaken.

It isn't a restaurant, but I always mourn the loss of the monte cristos from the Columbia Harbour House. They were my absolute favorite.

Tangorea Terrace at Poly (sp?)

And yes i remember wonderful meals at the Empress Lilly!

The original Portebello Yacht Club, before it was affiliated with Disney, was great.

I believe it was a trip in the early 90's that they served "Handwiches" at MK. I distinctly remember getting one under the peoplemover. They were like a salad in a bread cone and they were AWESOME. WEnt back a few years later and they were gone.

There used to be a sandwhich shop/deli at Disney Villiage. When I was a kid that was where we would get dinner our first night of our vacation.

Very yummy.:slurp:

Some favorites from way back...

Top of the World at the Contemporary (now Cali Grill is there, which is also excellent)

The Gulf Coast Room, also in the Contemporary. Extremely fancy with strolling musicians.

Akershus when it was 100% buffet. It has so many wonderful things that are now gone.

Crystal Palace prior to being a character meal location

King Stephen's Banquet Hall, now Cinderella Royal Table

caramel-dipped pineapple

I've been told they no longer serve caramel-dipped pineapple at Ohana's. Big bummer. Menus are getting streamlined and homogenized everywhere to cut costs.

You are correct. It was replaced with a banana bread pudding type of dessert with vanilla ice cream.
