Inside is horrible. All there is is curtains dividing the rooms, so you can hear Captain Hook while flying over London.

DL's has more of a wall and you cannot hear sounds from other rooms. (plus it has those cool fiber optic stars)

I heard early 2010 for the beginning of construction. All I know is most will be done in 2012 while Pixie Hollow won't be finished until 2013.
I think it has already started. Remember that wall behind the castle?:animwink:

Anyone else notice Rusalo says "...and someday when our vision of Fantasyland is finally realized...." talking about Pixie Hollow?

It sounds like Pixie Hollow is not part of this expansion and may be where the budget has been cut.

I expect this means TTF will still be around for awhile, hence the carnival look of the Dumbo area. We'll see, but if I had to bet, we'll never see Pixie Hollow. I think it's Jay's intention to leave TTF just the way it is to save money. TTF fits in perfectly with the new Dumbo area just in case Pixie Hollow doesn't happen.

Regardless, I'm betting the expansion goes like this:

(1) work starts and is completed on BATB, TLM and Cinderella's Castle. Pooh's Playful Spot will be the only thing to close.

(2) work starts on the Dumbo area while TTF stays open. Barnstormer is closed and re-themed. It's possible that Barnstormer may not close for long if their intention is to move the queue house.

(3) The new Dumbo area opens with one spinner. The original is closed and moved to the new spot. Cinderella's Castle is completed.

(4) BATB, TLM, Cinderella's Castle and Dumbo open. Snow White and Pooh rides close for renovation of their queue areas. I imagine most of this work will proceed while the ride is open and only close at the end of renovation.

(5) TTF stays open through the makeover and is only closed IF they decide to proceed with Pixie Hollow and after the rest of FL is compete.

Somewhere they did say Pixie Hollow was coming in 2013. I believe it was the official press release from wdwnews.com

Is there any word on whether Snow White and Winnie the Pooh will be getting new facades or queue areas? I know that Peter Pan and its a small world will remain the same, but is it too much to ask that SW and Pooh get a bit of an upgrade?

I would hope. FL West can stay how it is. It's FL Central and East that looks like it's getting the help it needs.

I hope!!!!:D:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

No idea where they could put it though. Maybe it could take over the Main Street Cinema for a little bit and show some models and concept art and play a preview video there. That would be nice.

(but then they'll end up marketing it like DCA's and sell Pins, T-Shirts, and Magnets advertising the refurb as "Just a dream away!")

what is the new IASW going to look like? :D
I wish it was getting DL's treatment....

I would not mind that...:D

The dueling dumbos, notice how the right one has 2x the capacity of the left one? Hmmm.....

They both have the same capacity... Look closer... Elevations of the ride vehicles are staggered because the one of the left is running...

And FYI, the unofficial official word is that we can all thank Harry Potter for this expansion coming to fruition:wave:!!!!
