Epcot dissapointment

Yeah, tell me about it. Just tonight my husband told me while he was in the bathroom two men and a woman, drunk out of their minds, came in and started talking to each other in there. So my husband tried to find a cast member and there was no one around, and by the time someone did arrive it was too late. Let's just say it's good there were no little children in the bathroom.
Wow. That is sad and absolutely crazy! How old were these people? I've heard stories like this lately and am in shock every time.
F&W was something my friends and I very much enjoyed. Adults only, eat, drink, have fun. Tipsy sure, but no one ever ended up sloppy. I have not been since 2009, I never saw anything horrible then, and have no clue where this new crowd is coming from.

That's pretty disgusting. I've been to Epcot at non F&W times and seen the drunks weaving around the World Showcase. I'm surprised that these people aren't cut off.

I know Disney makes a lot of money on the alcohol sales, but is it worth it? Even though this park is geared toward adults, there are still a lot of kids around. What is going to have to happen before this type of behavior isn't tolerated?

I know there were several drunk driving incidents associated with Pleasure Island. Is that also what will have to happen at Epcot?
My family and I went to Guest Services and the cast member at the desk said that Epcot is the only park where they allow guests to leave their car for two days, hence promoting the terrible trend. We thought that going on a Sunday would at least be a little better, because people usually work the next day...but we were wrong. It's just a shame because my husband and I know what EPCOT Center was and now we have this.

They were in their 30's, and one of the woman's friends, despite being drunk, told her she really shouldn't be in there and she refused to leave. Sloppy indeed. It makes you wonder how low the company will go to make a quick buck.

We were puked on in a Monorail in September.

Unfortunately, as indicated by the construction of more "permanent" kiosks, this is what Epcot will be known for.

Horrible. I blame the individuals though..not the alcohol. I loved F&W and hoping to make it back next year now that I have an AP. I promise that I'll never be sloppy and/or end up in a men's restroom. Neither will any of my friends/fam.

We were there in 2013 and made the BIG mistake of going to the World Showcase on the Saturday during the F+W showcase...I thought I was at an NFL game!!! Groups of 30!! people, with T-shirts proclaiming that they were at the F+W "world tour" trip, drunk off their posteriors, stumbling into guest upon guest "bar hopping" from 1 kiosk to the next...lesson learned...stay OUT of the world showcase Friday thru Sunday...

I blame the management. Bars are required to stop serving their guests when they are obviously tipsy ( prior to being drunk) Why isn't the Disney management doing the same? Public drunkenness should not be tolerated. It isn't on most city streets, so why is it allowed in Epcot? Oh that's right, Greed has become the new Disney mantra.

My wife and I spend more time at Epcot than the other parks when we visit. We love eating and drinking through WS. (check any of my TR's and you will see:)). We have been to F&W and F&G many times over the years. We have definitely seen drunk people over the years, but in all our time there we have yet to witness anything truly alarming.

I have had my foot ran over or ankles smashed into by more strollers at MK than I have ever been touched or offended by a drunk person at Epcot. Ive seen more parents completely loose it with there children and then allow the child to scream and cry while waiting in a long queue while other people have to suffer and listen to it. To me, thats just as bad if not worse than a drunk man and woman allegedly entering a restroom together. Im not excusing any drunken behavior either, but there are just as many completely sober mom or dad offenders in the other parks. People let their kids pee in the bushes or change a dirty diaper right on a bench smack in the middle of the hub at MK. A few years ago, I walked into the restroom inside the Boardwalk lobby and there was a man rinsing out a pair of kids shorts that had clearly been pooped in. The sink was filled with it and he was splashing it all over the place. He left the sink clogged up and a mess all over the counter. So if people (not saying you) are appalled at people drinking at WS, then they seriously need to open their eyes and stop being so selective.

So why do you or any other WDW apologists ( your term, not mine) feel compelled to read a thread entitled "Epcot Disappointment" ? You know it's going to be a negative post based on the title, so why not move on to a positive post?
If you could point me towards some positive posts, or some positive posts that don't eventually end up wallowing in negativity and bickering, I would appreciate it, because they are definitely hard to find on here lately. I'm not saying that every post has to be sunshine and roses, but there seem to be an alarming number of members of this community who seem to have the mindset that Disney cannot and will not do anything right when it comes to their theme parks. The OP in this situation was just stating a fact; I did not ridicule the OP, I was trying to point out how some posters are so frustrated with the negativity, arguing, and triggered personal attacks, that they are resorting to it themselves. I found myself doing it recently, until some people pointed out how I sounded, and I put a stop to it. The tone some people use towards Disney on here is the same kind of harsh tone people reserve for governmental decisions. These people need to remember that Disney isn't making decisions that directly affect your day-to-day life-they are a leisure time activity provider. No one is being forced to pay for and go to Disney parks-it's a choice. If the government raises taxes, you have to pay them, so complain away. If Disney isn't building something quick enough, or the parks are too dirty, etc, just don't go. Find something else to spend your time and money on, instead of constantly ranting and raving about how bad Disney is.
