Epcot dissapointment

So once again, you choose to post a rant on a thread that you already know is going to be negative. Have you ever thought that the frustrations expressed by posters is because Disney has become a big disappointment?

I'm sorry that you are upset with all of the negativity, but you have the choice to move onto a different thread. You can even choose to start a positive thread of your own.

This is the last post I am going to make on this, and I'll try not to repeat myself, but it may be tough, as I'm trying to get my point across.
You mention that Disney has become a big disappointment. To you, and to a number of posters on here, it sounds like it is. To me, and a number of posters on here, and the millions of people who aren't as obsessed with Disney as we are, it is not a disappointment. If you think Disney sucks now, and I don't, we can debate it on here. I give my point of view, you give yours. Point, counterpoint. But debate does not include taunting, childish name calling, over the top sarcasm and personal attacks that seem to happen on here more often than not. Even the back and forth we are having here-we are having a fairly civil conversation, and both of us are explaining our position to the other. This is good. The way the OP was attacked at the beginning of the thread-not good.
As for my threads, I try to start threads that shouldn't generate any of the nasty stuff. I try to stay away from anything controversial, or current hot button topics about WDW. Most of the threads I have started have not eventually been turned to the dark side, so to speak. TBH, if I tried to stay away from threads that contained no negativity, it would be a fairly quick visit to this site. There is enough crap in the world right now that I don't think any of us want to see this place drawn down to the same level.

This thread reminds me of a joke.

Two atoms are talking to each other. One says "hey, I lost an electron." The other one says " are you sure?". First one says "I'm positive."

Great post. I love debating the issues without the name calling. I totally agree with you. However, I don't think Disney sucks. I just don't think it is living up to it's potential. That's why I am disappointed.

Wow. That is sad and absolutely crazy! How old were these people? I've heard stories like this lately and am in shock every time.
F&W was something my friends and I very much enjoyed. Adults only, eat, drink, have fun. Tipsy sure, but no one ever ended up sloppy. I have not been since 2009, I never saw anything horrible then, and have no clue where this new crowd is coming from.
I was just there and never saw anything like what is being described here. I mean, they serve you drinks in plastic cups the size of a thimble. The prohibitionists on this board tend to just be looking for stuff to offend them, and as I've said many times before, I doubt that a lot of this stuff even happened.

Yeah, tell me about it. Just tonight my husband told me while he was in the bathroom two men and a woman, drunk out of their minds, came in and started talking to each other in there. So my husband tried to find a cast member and there was no one around, and by the time someone did arrive it was too late. Let's just say it's good there were no little children in the bathroom.
Because people were talking to each other?

This website is the first time I have heard anything like this for sure. A little while back someone posted that there are more sloppy drunks at F&W over HHN. My experience was the opposite. I don't think I've ever seen a drunk person at Disney, period..I can't say the same for City Walk. Nothing horrible in either place though, just people having a good time.

What a load of garbage. Totally untrue. Generalize much?

I appreciate your uninformed comment , so allow me to respond. When I went in September an inbreiated woman puked on us in the monorail on our way back. I saw 8 instances of RCFD emts treating guests who couldn't hold there liquor. (There was one rather interesting young lady by the Canadian kiosk who was yelling about something until she puked in the bushes and the emts had to strap her into a stretcher) Never mind the drinking games that go on. You want to drink, no problem, but control yourself. I cut myself off after 3 beers and didn't have to be carried out.

Yeah that was perfectly normal and appropriate behavior in a family theme park with children everywhere. Nothing to see here move along. When you grow up and have the responsibility of being a parent maybe you'll wise up a bit.

You're a premium member and you still haven't learned the rules about personal insults on here? And who is stupid?

So the person that insulted me by calling me a liar is now crying crocodile tears that I hurt his feelings...man up. Defend your argument rather than just calling me a liar.

I know who you are. And I'm not crying any kind of tears over an internet troll posting under an anonymous name telling lies about Food and Wine to try to get a reaction. And by the way, this is the size of the drink that they serve at Food and Wine. If you can get drunk off of a thimble full of wine, then I don't even know what to say.

I have been on this forum since 05 and am hardly a troll.
You want to enjoy F+W go ahead, just don't ruin it for anyone else. I along with my sister in law were thrown up on on the monorail. Which was a wonderful expirience explaining to her young kids who watched it. Those people being treated by EMTs weren't suffering from heat exhaustion, they were plastered. TBH if you get a drink from even half of all the kiosks around the world, even if they're thimble sized you're going to get buzzed.

Yes, yes, I know you have been thrown up on - you have mentioned it already 16 million times. You also mention all sorts of other incidents , and none of it makes a lick of sense. For instance, you say this: "There was one rather interesting young lady by the Canadian kiosk who was yelling about something until she puked in the bushes and the emts had to strap her into a stretcher"

1. Exactly what bushes are you talking about?

2. And then you just stood there until the EMTs arrived?

And how long did that take?

3. And why would EMTs arrive in the first place just because of someone throwing up....which is doubtful to begin with?

Ya know - as Judge Judy likes to say, if it doesn't make sense, it isn't true.

Other side facing the lagoon.

Emts where there with Disney security and OCSD.

Her friend had two "thimbles" of one of the frozen cocktails in her hand.

But by all means please continue to make yourself look foolish.
