You still have to redeem yourself for that Horizons comment I made...:lookaroun:lol:
I love ya, bro...but I dunno. *thinks about it*
Meh. See you in the arcade.

I'll see you there only if I can bang a boat several times into a wall...?:lookaroun:ROFLOL:
If you go by the plaque itself, very little (if any) currently feature in Epcot actually fits/makes sense based on what EPCOT Center set out to be. Please understand though, as attractions go, it's all still WDW and very well done, and there's no where else I'd rather spend a vacation.
For example, I love Soarin', but I've never been able to see how that really fits Epcot, much less the actual Land Pavillion.
HAHA and I actually think Soarin' fits The Land Pavilion very well.
Yeah and in a few years we'll be discussing the same thing over drinks.:lol:
I hate to be the one to knock the optimism down a little bit, but they're going to still be making these kinds of marketing decisions. I would love it if they flooded MK with the standard-fare child-friendly anthropomorphic attraction overlays, but not EPCOT.
(I will insert one of my famous flame-fodder statements....I would love nothing more than to see less strollers in EPCOT. It doesn't have to appeal to very small children. When they get old enough to appreciate EPCOT's attractions, then they can come to EPCOT.)
*ducks*
Other than flying over 'Land' itself, I have never thought it fit the pavillion's message of conservation, food education, etc.
Care to sell me?

Yep...It's a celeration of The Land!Don't you mean several hundred times...?

Here's what I think should be done to Epcot to make it perfect with room for improvement:
SSE: Add new narration, bring back old score, get rid of screens, add stuff to finale similar to what used to be there. Add scenes that imphesise the use of the internet, cell phones, and other things that have advanced the future of communication.
Make innoventions interesting again. Bring in truly new technologies from different corporations for people to explore. Not just the newest Disney video games.:brick:
UOE: Completely refurb it with new films, and just a different experience over all.
WoL: Put it out of its misery and just tear it down.
Test Track: Update its technology so that it doesn't break down all the time. The JTTCOTE ride at TDS uses updated versions of Test Track's technology and doesn't break down nearly as often.
The Land: Give Soarin a new film so that you fly over the natural wonders of the world.
Imagination: I think you all know what needs to be done here.
World Showcase: Add a trolly and bring back the double decker busses so that transportation is much easier around the lake.
WS needs at least two new rides.
Bring in a new parade similar to ToN and a new fireworks show.

Sure. It shows people enjoying the great outdoors and what our land has to offer, especially regarding recreation and seeing its beauty. In this day and age of people spending so much time indoors, it is timely and inspiring.
EPCOT.nut,
I would have to agree partially on the stroller thing. The rule that we go by is we try to do things that my DH will enjoy and not disrupt others (as much as we can on the second one). My DH loves going to aquariums so she loves 'going to visit Nemo', she loves Living with the Land, and (IMO unfortunately)) JII.
It drives me crazy watching kids (and some adults) being forced to do things, because they are at disneyworld and if they don't (insert attraction or show here) then money has been wasted. But that is another topic all together....
No charring, just a conditional agreement on this one
BTW, the prime directive reference was awesome!

I agree...for the most part...but I won't nitpick.

Nah, Imagineer is always good.Oops! I nit-picked. Hope you don't mind imagineer.
You know, when I first read that, I was about to laugh at how stupid that whole reason was, until I realized...you're right... :lookaroun
Pleased to meetcha Shannon!
Ahhhh I now totally agree with you. I am now picking up what you are putting down.
