You're right. No sense arguing with a guy who thinks the imaginary Yeti is more real than...cartoon characters. :hammer:

Real in the sense of more authentic and actual than a cartoon character.

That's whats great about EE and DAK...a "Legend" isn't just that, it's "real" and made to fit the nature of the park very well.

Then while we're stressing the reality of everything in DAK, lets put a moratorium on cartoon characters in the park, close up the Nemo show, and shut down Camp Mickey.

If it were up to me..? Gladly.

However, those do fit into the park, with their respective backstories and in their respective lands. The same way a "Real" Yeti does.

Why not take the Yeti plushes in the gift shop, put them in an air cannon and launch them at the ride while they fix the real yeti?

Only if I get to keep one if I can catch it!

Seriously, I really want one, but I never wanted to pay for it. :lookaroun

I haven't heard anything about this, but a Yeti fix wouldn't surprise me. Michael Calglazier (sp?), the new VP of DAK, isn't content to rest on his laurels and accept what's "good enough."

Hmm, every park except the MK seems to have a VP who cares about old-school Disney quality and commitment to the brand.

 That would be frightening.

That's good to hear, but I will really start believing that when I am seeing that. :D

I guess Mr. Holmes didn't play a big role in Nightastic?:lookaroun

Fun Fact to lift spirits:

The large Yeti in the Gift Shop is a ceremonial puppet that was used when Serka Zong Bazzar was an outdoor courtyard. Sometime in the 1950's the courtyard was planked over (Take a look at the roof) and the Puppet left on display in the center, renovating the courtyard's multiple buildings into one large shop. Hence the name Serka Zong Bazzar.

Oh c'mon, are you taking a shot at Phil 'Magic Man' Holmes?!?!:ROFLOL:

As to EE, I was told by a very reliable source that the Yeti will soon be replaced by a giant Incredible Hulk AA!

It boggles my mind that the original Yeti wasn't engineered and tested with longevity in mind .. well, I suppose it was, just not successfully. Additionally, it's completely alien to me how they can not find a suitable/reasonable fix for the OE Yeti. How can that be?? Yes, it's a huge AA but it's an AA nonetheless.

He was, but as said before, he needs maintenance...which he never got.

If the problem was due to shoddy or negligent maintenance then that is an even bigger FAIL than if the issue is due to a design flaw.

*Side note -- do not ride EE in the pouring rain. It hurts
