It's a mythological being. It can be whatever it wants.

Like Gozer the Gozerian.

*Prays someone knows what he's talking about*

"Gozer the Gozerian! Good evening. As a duly designated representative of the city, county and state of New York, I order you to cease any and all supernatural activity and return forthwith to your place or origin or to the nearest convenient parallel die-mension."

"That oughtta do it, thanks very much, Ray."

I thought we'd established that M. Yeti was reguarly in B-mode by late 2007 (second year of operation)?

I rode in March 2008 and he was definitely in A Mode at the time, however this is the last time I saw it in that mode.

^This. I saw him more than several times in 2008. 2009 was the first whole year without a Yeti sighting. (Personally. Though he was sighted in A show a few times in 2009.)

Does Madame Yeti have a name?

Fantasmic Dragons get names...

For the millionth time, the Yeti's a dude.

He's designed in this story to be a Dominant Male. Because of his height, territorial behaivor, and the large flat face.

The Yeti is named Finkel or Einhorn

They laid the law early on that the Yeti not be personalized ala Harold. Once it gets out, people start taking it as fact that the name is "Harold" or whatever.

And I prefer "Mr.Yeti" personally.

I rode the ride today, for the first time in probably a year. I knew going into the ride that the Yeti was not going to be working, but I remember him at least having a strobe and at least frozen in a somewhat scary position.

I was very surprised when I rode that he basically was crouched down, facing down, not looking at the train, and maybe 4 flashes of light flashed on him all together. I thought maybe the light was so low to not add to his terrible shape, but it just was pretty pathetic in my opinion. Still a good ride though.

Wow - that is pathetic. Kinda like replacing the great white shark in Jaws with a gold fish.

Keep fighting the good fight, but it may be a losing one. I've been trying for the last couple of years to gently correct posters on another site who claim that the yeti is a she. Some even insist that "her" name is Betti the Yeti. It doesn't help that there apparently are EE CMs who repeat this misinformation to guests. It's almost become DAK's version of HM's "wedding ring."

In my book "he" will always be named Buster. When he is in A mode for 2 years straight I will consider a name change.

Ok...I've got it. The ultimate Yeti solution.
Send somebody up to road to Uni. Make them a decent offer to buy one of their old King Kong animatronics.
Change the face and the fur, take away the banana breath....
Boom. For a bargain price you have the Yeti as he was conceptualized back in 2001-2002.
I'm a genius.
