Dumbo & Main Street Updates

I must be the only person on team yellow dumbo. He's oddly nostalgic to me despite me not having any memories of riding dumbo ever.

I just looked up a pic and he doesn’t look that bad. I guess compared to the other colors In person, I don’t find it as desirable. Now that you say it, the yellow does kind of look nostalgic. If not for anything other than it looks like a vintage color that’s rarely used these days. Funny you say you don’t have any Dumbo memories. I have like zero Fantasyland memories in general except for Small World. I think that my parents took me on all the rides THEY wanted to go on and whichever ones they though would impress family visiting from Italy. All of my memories from when I was young are from the Jungle Cruise, POTC, HM and CBJ. But particularly POTC and HM.

my earliest memories of disneyland are the flowers at main street, the haunted mansion, alice in wonderland, soarin', the playhouse disney show, buzz lightyear, space mountain, the tomorrowland makeover, and perhaps the most memorable area music ever. surprisingly not a whole lot of small world memories despite me going on it.
edit: oh and maliboomer, mullholland madness, pizza oom mow mow, the tomorrowland pizza place, the tortilla factory, and many more that I may not recall right now, but will for sure pop up

Oh man, one of your earliest memories is Buzz? You re way younger than me. This reminds me of the realization I made recently, that most Pro athletes are now younger then me. Weird.

I'm surprised that offset you and not the playhouse disney show lol. I've been to disney so much I honestly don't know how early buzz was, but I do remember the moment tomorrowland was finished with it's makeover and thinking, "wow that building (space mountain) looks better." That was also the day I was finally tall enough to ride space mountain. Good times.

Lol. I think I sort of skimmed over Playhouse Disney.

Ok guys it’s time i come clean. I’ve been here posing as a man in my mid 30s and it’s just not true. My earliest memory of Disneyland was... well it must of been the late 30’s. I was working as a grounds keeper at Griffith park. I was making my usual rounds, as I walked by the carrousel I noticed Mr. Disney sitting on a bench, deep in thought, occasionally waving at his two young daughters as they made their way around. I was nervous but knew I had to introduce myself. So I walked up and said, “Mr. Disney, I see you re deep in thought and I’m sorry to disturb you but I’m a huge fan of yours.” He gave a little smirk, thanked me and asked me to take a seat next to him. So I sit down and he says, “do you want to know what I was thinking about?”

My earlist memories of Fantasyland was the Pirate's Ship and Tuna Fish Sandwiches. Also, the movie theater. The first ride memories would be Mr. Toad's.

How were those tuna sandwiches by the way? I’m always fascinated when I hear someone say “tuna fish sandwich.” It feels so retro and like I’m watching an episode of “I Love Lucy.”

My fave--either on the Pirate Ship or at the Golden Horseshoe. Preferably with Fritos. Black and White sundae at Carnation. Monte Cristo at Blue Bayou (the new version is even better). Fruit Salad at Tahitian Terrace. Fritters at Mint Julep Bar (new ones are less doughy). And popcorn in blue striped rectangular boxes with folding lids that closed! Oh my Disney, it was heaven.

I liked them, also the Tuna Burgers. Also, I have young memories of Casey Jr. Also the original Snow White dark ride, and how they used cheesy effects like the San Diego Belmont Park's dark ride. The remake was much better than the original.

By fritters, do you mean beignets?
