Dumbo & Main Street Updates

I mean no offense, I just personally feel like this a "well, we have nothing else to post, so..." sort of situation. Have they previously announced Main Street repavings?
I'm not certain (I'm *sure* someone here could answer that), but they usually do mention if something visible is going to be happening on Main St. (like the repainting scrims). And this closes several rides at once for a long period, including a big Main St. photo-op. Locals and horse-lovers will not be pleased. :D

(EDIT) But, hey, VACATION FOR THE HORSES! They deserve it; hope they don't get all flabby.

I thought they were getting rid of the horses for a second.

You know I've never told this to anyone, but the Main Street Vehicles are the only rides at Disneyland I've never done!

I’ve rode them all once each to cross them off the list. Of all of them, my favorite was the fire engine as it is still the same one Walt would drive around the park. The Omnibus is cool too because the upper level gives you views of Main Street you would never have otherwise.

My favorite will always be the Horse-Drawn Streetcars. I want that clip-clop, ding-ding ambient sound on endless loop (with occasional "Hello! Folks! The horse isn't gonna stop! Get off the tracks!).

I'm gonna go search Youtube sound files now...

This further reinforces the Main Street atmosphere between the vehicles and horses is safe for another decade or so... at least as far as they are concerned in this very moment. Which is a very good thing.

I have it on good authority that the Horse Drawn Street Cars are being phased out and being replaced with Bantha Drawn Street Cars by 2020.

Brick should be a good way to keep people* from tripping over the rails.

*By "people", I refer to normal, not extraordinarily clumsy people: A category in which I do not belong.

When FP is added, standby slows to a crawl. And while I can just get a FP myself, I might prefer to be holding one for Space Mountain or Matterhorn instead of Dumbo. I like FP. I just get twitchy with every step it takes to being more similar to that monstrosity in Florida.
oh that makes sense!
