I suppose you could say we are doing it on our own. . .:lookaroun . . .

We have a 'Little Black Bag' with a few books and tips in it as well as the POINT FINDER and some other kind of gizmo. I have noticed e-mails coming over from WW with recipes and the like but if it doesn't have "steak' or 'chicken wing' in the subject text, I usually gloss right over it.

Kinda stuck the last week or so. You know the drill. Have a good month or two and then you say, well, one ice cream won't hurt, will it??? Before you know it, you have devoured a large Zebra Cone with half a gallon of Krunch Kote.

Check out the website and the forums, there is a lot of good info there and most people share their recipes (thats free). They have a community swap recipe section, but I don't know if thats part of the paid section.
I found some good recipes that the whole family liked, especially the lemonade pie. :slurp:

Yes, my diet is progressively getting worse. :ROFLOL:

I don't know what happened, but boy have I slipped. I'm back to exercising in the mornings before I leave for work, and when it's not raining, walking in the evenings.

It's so much easier staying on a diet, than starting one.

Okay, who brought this thread back from the dead?:eek:

. . . oh, it looks like Doug.:fork:

I'm fat, fat, fat and more fat.

. . . I'm like a fried pork rind, just fat dipped in fat.:hurl:

. . . thanks for asking.:lol:

Well! :lol:

I'm still hanging onto 15ish pounds of baby weight... at least she is, in fact, a baby, and I'm not saying this as I drive my 15 year old to soccer practice or something :ROFLOL: :lookaroun

When school is out my plan is to let her sisters babysit for a while so I can get myself running again. Right now I'm feeling REALLY motivated, and so I'm thinking I will still get up at 6 all summer to run, but when summer actually gets here we'll see if that happens or not.

Have you found a charity to hook up with yet for the half-marathon . . . or are you pretty much throwing in the towel on that one at this point?

. . . because if you're not going to be there, that would be cool, because then Doug and Scott and Gordon and Brad and Kirsten and Heidi (and anyone else I'm missing) and I can talk about you.:lookaroun

. . . the above was a little (generally successful) technique I learned in college to goad people into going out with us when they were too tired or had some other weak excuse.:drevil:

I don't have a weak excuse, I have five. :p

Um, I dunno, I'll see what i can do... if I hook up with a charity, do I have to, you know, give them money or whatever? :lookaroun

you only have to give them the money you raise from hitting up your friends.

"Hey, how much would you pay to see me run 13 miles?"

I'm betting you would raise plenty. :D And I've heard a rumor that if you raise enough money, that charity will book you a deluxe hotel room for free. :king:

Since I asked the question, I'll admit that I created a wii fit profile last night and it told me:

* I am fat
* I am clumsy

:lol: Gotta love wii fit! :lookaroun

But I have lost 2 pounds this week. :p

Okay...here is my quick story.

43 year old male 6'4" and as of last December 1st I was 260 pounds and a size 46 waist. Blech:hurl:

My son and I were home alone one weekend and there was a Biggest Loser marathon on one of the channels and for some weird reason I got hooked on the first couple of hours and so did my son. We ended up watching the whole thing over the weekend.

Monday morning I decided to change my life. It was not unusual for me to live on fast food for several days at a time, just too lazy to fix anything. When I did bother to cook, it was not so good for me either. I could sit down in front of the TV at night after supper and about finish off a package of Oreos or a giant bowl of ice cream. Yeah, I know…not pretty.

So anyway, I just stopped all that nonsense that one Monday morning. No more crap. I think I cut out all fat for one week. It was a tough week, but by the next Monday morning I was already down about 8 pounds. I went a little crazy for the next couple of weeks, pretty much going in the other direction as before. I hadn’t yet learned the secret of having a lot of calories but watching the fat and I cut a ton of calories. Not a good thing at all, even though the pounds came off fast. I started reading about a healthy diet and got things figured out pretty quick.

I play soccer in an adult league once a week…with a bunch of kids half my age. Let me tell you, just that one day a week I run my backside off and it is great.

So today, I am at 212 pounds and easily fit into a size 38 pant. When I started, my goal was 220 and a size 40-42…and the good thing is I can have that hamburger once in a while to fill the need, but I really do love eating healthy and it is not a struggle at all. I figure if I can do it, anybody can.

:sohappy: That's great! I think the soccer league is a fantastic idea... a great way to make exercise more than just tolerable :lol:

I really enjoyed running, and am ready to get back to it. It's been a year and a half :eek: Sprained my ankle pretty bad and never went to PT or really did anything to fix it :eek: so I am hoping it will be ok. I should think so by now. :shrug:
