Not sure if anybody is still following this thread, I know I did not for some time due to guilt of now doing well on any diet I tried. But I wanted to share and shout about my new success.
My mother has been doing NutriSystem for a while and kept trying to get me to do it. I kept saying, yeah maybe someday but deep in my heart was having trouble giving up eating what I like. She would come over for dinner and I would see the tiny portion she was eating and I would think there is no way I could live on that.
I have knee issues from my weight and they are at the point where it is agonizing. So finally at the end of October I decided I would give Nutrisystem a try. I weighed myself for my staring point and I was a good 15 lbs more than I thought. I stepped on the scale and was 250 lbs and was shocked and horrified with myself. It almost depressed me to the point that I was not ever sure I could do anything about it.
Even though I thought that I decided to push forward and ordered Nutruisystem. My mother helped me through the ordering process. Any existing NS members can send a $30.00 coupon to anybody new to NutriSystem so she sent that to me and it accepted the coupon but for whatever reason it gave trouble with the order so I had to call it in and while looking up my account to make sure they had the right person, they verify stuff over the phone and I happened to have it on speaker and they verified my weight and I was horrified. But at least they were able to enter the $30.00 coupon but still I wish I had not been on speaker.
So anyway, on to the good news. I started NutriSystem on November 1. I have yet to feel hungry at all. The few times I have gone off of it (3 times) two of them were planned. We went out to eat twice and I just watched myself. The 3rd time, was Thanksgiving and I did well but then that night I ate a whole bunch of this fresh olive bread. I regretted it afterwards...
So on November 1 I was 250 lbs. As of this morning I am down to 228.8 lbs. I have been doing Wii Fit almost every night for about 1 hour and I also weigh myself on it a few times a week in the morning to keep track. I have a long way to go but am on the right track. I want to get down to 180 lbs. I am even so confident that I can do it (never was before, ever) that when we go down to WDW early this coming year, I plan on buying a bunch of new shirts in size L. Right now I am still sporting an XXL.
Wish me luck!
