Downtown Disney expansion to be officially announced Tuesday 12 March

I'm really, really excited about this.

I have three hopes based on what has leaked:
- the name "Downtown Disney" stays. It's perfect. Don't change it. Just call the new area "Disney Springs at Downtown Disney". I guarantee the area will always be referred to as Downtown Disney anyway.
- the architecture of the new areas looks classy and not like a cheap 20-year old outlet mall. The Hyperion Wharf concept art was much nicer than what has leaked for Disney Springs.
- (no way this happens, but) the Adventurer's Club to return.

It will be VERY telling. ... What version of what some of us have been seeing is going to get announced? Who will do it? It sure seems like a tag-team of Staggs and Wolber, which makes you wonder if we'll ever see George Kalogridis except sneaking into his SSR villa late at night.

I've also heard some rumblings that something else beyond DD 'may' get mentioned tomorrow as well.

Keith Bradford is not in charge of DD and hasn't been for a while.

DCL vet, and a cool guy, Tom Wolber is Sr. VP of DD and Disney Sports and he will be the OPs guy overseeing the project.

And, sadly, I am quite sober right now.

But I do like your choice in music: classic 80s ... Survivor. I recall a few years back and they played Food and WIne (and unlike MANY of the tired acts that no longer belong on stage, these guys were as good as ever) to half empty houses. And all I could think was every song in their limited performance was a top 25 hit (with a few No. 1s) and most folks would have rather been sleeping thru Ellen's Energy Adventure.

For everyone that is saying they hope this one actually gets built, I would be very surprised if George K let the first big project announced while he is at WDW fall through the cracks. Just my opinion though.

I represent the pixie dust snorting, corporate shill, MBA loving brigade and may I be the first to say.....man, TDO and TDC leadership did an excellent job on these plans. They look great. I've already booked lodging, flight, and withdrawal from my 401k to be at the grand opening that they are going to announce tomorrow.

Hey I am fine.....no you didnt say that the project would be completed on time....you PROMISED that they have contracted someone for this and have gone over the completion date....now how could you have PROMISED this if you didnt have an inside connection? So what you are really saying is that your original statement was nothing more the conjecture. As far as me being related to another poster? I call her @Mom but she isnt my mom....:)
