Do you think that Disney world will reclose its gates due to the rising number of COVID cases in Florida and around the country?

A mass outbreak would probably be a bigger story than one person dying. The only way it’s a firestorm is if there’s any sort of link to Disney not following through on their commitments to safety. Look at the Landrys story from DS. Never made national news but was a much bigger story because of the alleged attempt to cover up and the company not sending the worker home allegedly.
The T-Rex, Landry's story is interesting as in wasn't covered by any national news or any news for that matter that I could find other than social media posts and Disney blogs reporting on the social media post. You think if there was a story and coverup at least one valid news source would pick it up. Might have missed it though, haven't seen all the news sources. Makes me wonder of the veracity of it.

There's' so much going on in the world and the news cycle changes so rapidly I doubt any outbreak at WDW is going to get more than a blip on the national news. Disney is also not a company the media goes after.

I agree on national, but the local news would have picked it up for sure.

Everyone is bent on drawing their own conclusions. Nobody has budged even an inch. I would say that no news is good news. I don't sense that Universal would or even could conceal a covid problem. Disruptions in the park would be apparent. Your anecdote is that TM'S feel unsafe. Others have said the opposite. Around and around we go. My point being that a strong lack of evidence that one of the biggest theme parks is experiencing transmission is good.
All it takes is a handful of CM’s to feel unsafe, and it will be spun on this site as “CM’s feel unsafe” .

Disagree. Here in PA whenever a cast member sneezes it seems to make the news. Don’t know about other parts of the country but it seems weekly there’s a report about Disney.

Maybe your local newscasters have a Disney obsession.
Disney World is massively popular in the Northeast. Some of the biggest states for park attendance are NJ/NY/PA. You can’t drive down the road without seeing either an AP or DVC mickey eats sticker on someone’s car. I’m sure the same cannot be said for a lot of places, especially the further you get from FL. There is definitely some local bias.

I never watch local news so I couldn’t tell you, but WDW is not that popular here. My husband has CNBC on during the market hours....and the national news is covering other things.

That's a nice graphic. I wonder if the level "8" for an amusement park is factoring in the required face coverings, social distancing and hopefully other measures that Disney will be taking, perhaps making it a little less risky. I realize though that there is an inherent risk when ever there are larger than normal crowds.
