Disney(World) vs. Disney(land)?

I won't put any figure on it but I think DHS, AK and parts of Epcot are in need of serious overhaul and investment, not to mention Downtown Disney. As much as I don't care about Avatar, I'd like to finally see some movement on it to see whether Disney intend on addressing other areas of the park that need attention once Avatar is completed. I'm fine with the FLE at MK but once that is completed I'd like to finally see Splash Mountain get the love it needs.

I think all of this will be addressed sooner rather than later especially since they just had their best quarter.............(drum roll)............................EVER!!! :):):D:)

He's been lurking a bit while working today and really doesn't know what to say. One poster is doing his damndest to take this discussion off the rails and he's doing it with malice and he's being allowed to. I don't wish to entertain him, but wading through the posts becomes cumbersome and tiring.

I have asked so many times for said poster to simply state the last time (if ever) he has been to WDW and DLR and where he's stayed, how many times he's visited etc.
I don't think there was a real discussion JT is just mouthing off as usual. Thanks for all the info you give it is appreciated. I enjoy reading what you,Lee, and most of the rest of the regulars have to say
And I've never gotten a bi-curious answer let alone anything close to a straight one.

It's very easy. Even for me, and I am as private a Spirit as you'll find here.

Last visits:

WDW: March 2012;
DLR: January 2012;
DLP: May 2012;
TDR: December 2010;
HKDL: December 2010;
DCL voyage: April 2010;

See, it isn't tough at all. Unless, of course, you're just playing around here and you've never even been to a Disney park or youu have, but just a few times and many moons ago.

Again, I don't even know where the REAL discussion was here, but will try and find it before heading to lunch.

Any links to that intriguing thread?

Sorry, I don't have one handy on this computer. (I have the entire thread saved elsewhere).
But if you do a search for LaughingPlace.com, WDW Social Media and maybe put Spirit of 74 in, you'll likely be able to pull it up.

*sigh*

This thread IS getting tedious. Boys, quit playing "mine is bigger" and get back to the topic on hand, please.

Thank you!
I apologize it's not a mine is bigger game. Some people on this forum dilberately Are misinforming people and that's not cool.
I do apologize if I came off inappropriately

JT are you delusional? Name 2 things that have been a homer run in Disneyworld in the last five years. I would like to be optimistic but with Disney I have become realistic. I know you don't have insider info, so basically your adding 2+2 and getting 5. As a person who has been to Disneyworld numerous times in the past 5 years and grew up at Disneyland. The value is getting smaller and smaller. It's sad to say Disney seems to be nickel and diming a little more on every trip

I've spoken to some of you individually, and now I'm going to say it here as well. Can we please stop the pointless arguing and name calling that achieves absolutely nothing in this forums goal to have proper conversation amongst fans. There can be differing opinions, and we do not need to have the "I'm right, you're wrong" battles constantly ongoing, which ultimately turn personal and ugly. Let's show some respect to each other and behave like grown ups.

At the risk of sounding completely oblivious here, what is the major problem with The Jungle Cruise in your view? We ride it every year but I've never noticed anything glaringly wrong with it that jumped out at me like on Splash Mountain so I'm just curious in case I've missed something.

The only thing that I always notice that bothers me is the water lines on all the animals that are in the water. Can't they scrub them every now and then????

Yes ESPN makes a boatload mainly because how expensive it is to have it. And 74 I know the only reason you are going to watch 666 Park Ave. is because the guy from lost is on it :)

ESPN makes $$$ because it is the worldwide leader in sports programming and sports fans are even worse than theme park fans when it comes to obsession. It is a huge money maker and I'm glad Disney owns it.

As to 666 Park Ave., the reason I'm going to watch it is because it looks interesting and has a different premise, not simply because Terry O'Quinn will be on (he was recurring on Hawaii Five O last season and I wasn't a regular viewer of that).

M. Rudolph, no apology needed. :)

PS... Ignore works wonders!!! I LOVE it!!! I can't see the crazy drama. The only time I am even aware of it is when others mention it!

Well its been clear for ages that its needed a lot of help...I hope we get specifics soon and some concept artwork.

If I was to take a wild guess, I'd say the Innoventions building is going to get the wrecking ball....Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear probably aren't going anywhere, maybe a speedway removal along with the peoplemover tracks.

Autopia is going nowhere ... neither is the Speedway in MK.

Fans gots to get off that track. Kids love the attractions (driving still beats getting your first iPhone!) and so long as kids want to get behind the wheel you'll see these attractions.

And there's so much room in both parks, especially MK, for new additions and replacements that it gets tiresome hearing so much angst from fanbois who don't like seeing all 'that precious real estate being wasted' ... I haven't been on any Autopia version outside of HKDL in a good decade, but I understand why the attractions are there and why they (pun coming) oughta be for years to come!

My lord, I just read that thread and that was nuts.
