Disney(World) vs. Disney(land)?

Give me a compelling reason why you need to know such details because this conversation is quickly becomming creepy.

I don't know how often you visit WDW or whatever but because you make such definitive statements I assumed that you're a regular visit to the resort. Not looking for an argument or anything here but it just surprises me that you can praise WDW like you do when you haven't been there recently.

I think he wants to know an answer because its a simple question and it is dammning to your arguments/position to continue to avoid it.

Here's how it'd go for me ...

When was the last time you have been to WDW? June 2012

That's a two word answer.

I am talking about what they have spent on all divisions. If they piled all that is necessary to fix WDW on top of what they have already spent (I'd guess at least 2 billion) and all they have spent on all the other divisions (cruise ships, DCA 2.0) then yes the stock would be in the tank and likely the company in trouble.

Don't play dumb.

The stock has gone nowhere BUT UP even since they've investing $2B+ into P&R Division including Cruise Ships/DCA, Shanghi, etc. With the exception of a dip towards the end of 2011, the stock is up 85% in 3 years, close to 50% since 2008 and almost 200% since coming out of the dumps in 2006 (I should know because it made me a hell of a lot of money). So again...investing the necessary money to fix a few things at Disney World (or even if they decided to fix all the issues at once and throw on another Billion on top of those expenditures they committed to back in 2009 would have had little (if any) effect on the stock price. You're talking about a $90Billion dollar company. It's not going to go bankrupt by giving MK a Space Mountain revamp. This isn't 1982.

Having to allocate some funds to bring MK's Space, Splash, and JC up to par would have absolutely zero affect on the stock price.

At the risk of sounding completely oblivious here, what is the major problem with The Jungle Cruise in your view? We ride it every year but I've never noticed anything glaringly wrong with it that jumped out at me like on Splash Mountain so I'm just curious in case I've missed something.

C'mon JT, when was the last time you went to WDW? It's not a difficult question but you seem to ignore it every time it's asked.

I really do not remember an exact timeframe or details. Please explain the reason you have such a need to know. I can probably figure it out. I have been so many times all the visits blur together.

I did not go to the London Olympics but I have a rough idea what it looked like and what happened there. Especially since I watched much of it on my 120" home theater in stunning HD. :D I have been to WDW so often that when they make a change I can easily conceive of it. Unlike Pumbas I still have a memory as my brain is not pickled.

I will just say my visits are in the triple digits. And it has probably been over 4 years. But truly I do not remember exactly.

JT you truly give new meaning to the word hypocrite. Where did you get that 120" tv since they aren't on the consumer market anthis they it wouldn't fit in the cardboard box, under the bridge you live under.....you are such a troll literally and figuratively

I think WDW needs another 2 or 3 billion in addition to Pandora to get up to speed. If they had spent that over the last three years or so investors would have fled IMO. But perhaps you know more than all the accountants Disney employs.

I really wish Spirit was here,the info he gives is 99 % of the info he tells us is correct and when he is wrong he admits it. He doesn't try to twist it to fit his own view.

I think I said "theater" not "Television".

But you keep up the good work.:rolleyes: :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Look at that. Your post garnered three sarcasms.

I live in the area, but unfortunately haven't made my way to the MK in over a year now. I feel pretty out of touch with the state of the MK, even with photo updates. The fact that you can be so smug about the state of the MK even though you haven't been there in at least 4 years is pretty wild. Kudos to you.

First thing home theater don't come in inches televisions and projection screens do home theater is the amplifying device that emits sound. I may have garnered three sarcasm but if if look back at the responses to your posts I'd probably find a million. You are a truly clueless individual. You are that know it all guy that thinks he's never wrong. The kind of guy who twists the things he says to truly never be wrong. That my friend is sad

I won't put any figure on it but I think DHS, AK and parts of Epcot are in need of serious overhaul and investment, not to mention Downtown Disney. As much as I don't care about Avatar, I'd like to finally see some movement on it to see whether Disney intend on addressing other areas of the park that need attention once Avatar is completed. I'm fine with the FLE at MK but once that is completed I'd like to finally see Splash Mountain get the love it needs.

I am that good. I read reviews from many people I trust. I am good at research, sorry if so many people here are weak at it.

I probably know more about the FLE than 99% of the people that pass through the turnstyles. Same with DCA.

I'm not familiar with what the Jungle Cruise refurb plans included (@Lee or @marni1971 might be able to help), but the attraction itself is in need of much TLC...between old, faded, barely operational AAs, and depressing and dilapidating scenes, docks, boats, and waterways...the entire place just needs a facelift. Mind you I haven't been since Feb of 2011, but the attraction hasn't seen any significant refurbs since then, and I believe I read that the Dock was replaced after being on the verge of collapse. Personally the attraction just isn't wortwhile to me anymore, though I also think that most of the Skippers don't really "try" anymore. I'm still kicking myself for not going on Disneyland's version when we visited.

I know those who follow this stuff more closely can give better detail. Space and Splash probably don't need any explanation.

He's been lurking a bit while working today and really doesn't know what to say. One poster is doing his damndest to take this discussion off the rails and he's doing it with malice and he's being allowed to. I don't wish to entertain him, but wading through the posts becomes cumbersome and tiring.

I have asked so many times for said poster to simply state the last time (if ever) he has been to WDW and DLR and where he's stayed, how many times he's visited etc.

And I've never gotten a bi-curious answer let alone anything close to a straight one.

It's very easy. Even for me, and I am as private a Spirit as you'll find here.

Last visits:

WDW: March 2012;
DLR: January 2012;
DLP: May 2012;
TDR: December 2010;
HKDL: December 2010;
DCL voyage: April 2010;

See, it isn't tough at all. Unless, of course, you're just playing around here and you've never even been to a Disney park or youu have, but just a few times and many moons ago.

Again, I don't even know where the REAL discussion was here, but will try and find it before heading to lunch.

Whatever you say. There is no substitute for experience. There is a big difference between knowing about "it" and be there for a true experience.
Your like the employee who gets a job for a week and thinks he's ready to run the company. A couple YouTube videos and a few reviews are not the same as being there. It's like reading cliff notes
