Disney(World) vs. Disney(land)?

Iger was around. So was Staggs. As well as Rasulo. All but Lasseter were in the company and had Eisner's ear. A large par tof why Eisner was hated because he only listened to the same group of inexperienced people mostly from Strategic Planning, all of whom continue to run the Company. Why would Iger and Staggs intentionally feed Eisner bad ideas? So they could be your savior sheriffs that you did and didn't call the sheriff?
Thank you JT really doesn't have a clue if he did he wouldn't talk about stocks or the fairy tales he spouts on an hourly basis.
I still want to know last time he has been to the parks.

I haven't booked a trip to WDW though I just went in July. When was the last time YOU went???

I have answered this question so many times I am bored with it.

As I have said, they have to add compelling content to each park to get me back. I am a very demanding customer. And they are close. New Lion King theater if done right and new Test Track if done right, will do the trick.

And then there is always the possibility of a one day one park visit if I am passing through on business. I will keep everyone informed because I know everyone is interested.

I'd be the last to say their work is done. They have a long ways to go no doubt. But I do not see how they could have done much better in the way they are fixing the problems that they have considering the amount of capital necessary to save other parts of the company while maintaining the stock price.

Remember, if the stock did not perform under Iger they really might have had to break up WDW as Lee has talked about. It appears we have avoided that disaster as they continued the painstaking process of repairing WDW's "foundations".

Someday people will write books about how TWDC not only survived a potential break-up or hostile takeover but how they did so without the vast majority of their customers ever noticing how bad things were.

Having to allocate some funds to bring MK's Space, Splash, and JC up to par would have absolutely zero affect on the stock price.

Zero.

Nadda.

So what's your next excuse?

Exactly and don't believe upgrades/refurbs aren't included in the park maintenance budget. If done properly they could have a positive one a small one but still positive.

I am talking about what they have spent on all divisions. If they piled all that is necessary to fix WDW on top of what they have already spent (I'd guess at least 2 billion) and all they have spent on all the other divisions (cruise ships, DCA 2.0) then yes the stock would be in the tank and likely the company in trouble.

I know he was "around". I guess I should have said, "in the loop". Beause he was not making content decisions about WDI as far as I know back then.

I don't think anyone deliberately gave Eisner bad information. But it is pretty obvious from some of the decisions he did make that he wasn't getting a whole lot of good advice.
Iger was in th loop, as chosen successor. So was Staggs as head of Strategic Planning and then as CFO. So was Rassulo as a member of Strategic Planning. They are all the ones whom Eisner was listening to and whom people hated.

that's just immature

Well if you read my follow up I call that statement "hyperbole" and call myself "misguided" and "out of touch" ... but my point was to exaggerate my WDW fandom to express that even someone such as myself can admit there is plenty wrong.

JT it's not a creepy question we just want to know ? For a person that loves the parks you dont seem to go very often. Believe me I don't think anyone is having any unbecoming thoughts toward you or about you. You are just so passionately delusional about Disney I thought you would have been there all the time. that not being the case maybe you should layoff the people who do go and point out the poor maintenance and the other problems that the parks do have. Your like a CEO thats lost touch and doesn't have a clue about his employees face on a daily basis
