it was hazy by the time we got to the beach and holy crap the water was cold!
I was just going to comment on the haziness at the beach.

So the tar pits are actual for real tar pits. No clue what I thought they were. Don't think I thought about it at all, actually. Interesting. I'm loving this!

Stupid autocorrect.

Day 6 - DL, Storytellers for Dinner, Mad T Party & Cars Land at night

We were in the park and headed to Tomorrowland at rope drop trying to get on space mountain right away...which was 101 (down) for the umpteenth time but by the time we got off of buzz it was open again.

My $.02 on Space Mountain - I like DLs version better. I like the cars and the audio way better.

...off to Fantasyland!

Before Fantasyland I went to get FP for Indy - and had to stop for a dole whip. We were only in FL to ride the carousel & meet Rapunzel before our Indy FP time

Dinner at Storytellers and DCA at night!

Dinner at Storytellers was "Ok" - it was buffet food and it was good food, but it was REALLY expensive.

Mad T Party - I had read about this online prior to our trip and I was intrigued. I had a BLAST! It reminds me of how Pleasure Island used to be. However - MadTParty is out of place - it looks odd during the day and it's tucked away at DCA at night. It would fit better within Downtown Disney instead of DCA.

Day 1: Arrival
I know people hate seeing travel photos are are just like "get to the darn Disney photos already" too bad

We used the DL resort express which worked out really well and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to DL

We arrived and our room wasn't ready yet but they let us "store" our luggage and we took off for Downtown Disney (DTD) & eventually ended up at Trader Sam's so we could pay homage to the Adventurer's Club relics that have ended up here.

I honestly don't remember what I ordered but I still have the glass, glow cube and it was STRONG

By the time we were done at Trader Sam's we headed back to our room to get settled...it was going to be a BUSY week

Now we had 4 adults in this room and it was a bit cramped - but the sofa unfolded to a sleeper so sleeping wasn't too bad

Our room faced the highway and had a great view. It wasn't nosiy at all

Surprise for us when we looked down!

Did you fly into LAX? We usually drive from Phoenix, but we are flying from my mother-in-law's in St Louis this summer. We will be using the Resort buses for the first time. Any info you could provide would be great. I'm glad you said it was easy!

Yes all 3 of us flew into LAX from 3 different cities, on 3 different airlines. Be prepared to be patient going from the airport to the resorts/hotels but I thought it was a pleasant experience.

Ok - World of Color - OMG OMG OMG OMG!! (I know I've been doing that a lot in this report) but O.M.G. !!!!!!!!!! WoC totally made my trip right then and there. The backdrop of Paradise Pier, the projections (SOOOOO much better than Fantasmic!), the music, the everything...OMG!!!!!!!!! Debi actually shot video of the whole show. The photos do NOT do it justice and it's something that has to be witnessed for yourself. Another thing I hope they never bring to WDW to keep it unique to DCA. Also - the fact that they can modify it whenever they need to without having to take it down for a refurb - bonus points!

We are in no real hurry to get to the resort. Aren't planning on doing a park that day, just dinner. I Know you need to get your luggage. Is it a far walk to the buses from the luggage area?
