Disney Sisters 1st trip to Disney Land - May 2013

Back over to DCA - got to visit Blue Sky Cellar which was awesome!! If you're a Disney-nerd it's a must see!

Ok - World of Color - OMG OMG OMG OMG!! (I know I've been doing that a lot in this report) but O.M.G. !!!!!!!!!! WoC totally made my trip right then and there. The backdrop of Paradise Pier, the projections (SOOOOO much better than Fantasmic!), the music, the everything...OMG!!!!!!!!! Debi actually shot video of the whole show. The photos do NOT do it justice and it's something that has to be witnessed for yourself. Another thing I hope they never bring to WDW to keep it unique to DCA. Also - the fact that they can modify it whenever they need to without having to take it down for a refurb - bonus points!

There's usually a show at Thunder Ranch. Strange that there wasn't when you went.

Day 4 - DCA rope drop, Mickey's Soundsational Parade, Disney Dreams & Fantasmic!

we were at Rope drop at DCA again for RSR fast passes but alas - for SOME (unknown) reason RSR wasn't open and FP were not available...boo!

Loved seeing the park almost empty 1st thing in the morning

I'm a roller coaster person and I LOVED California Screamin'

Then we road TSMM - same as WDW
Went over to the Sky Wheel - now I read up on this before we left and I opted for the non-swinging car. Debi & Marci rode in that one...I'm a wuss!

We went over to Pacific Wharf and had brunch at Pacific Wharf Cafe then went for more Cars Land

We then did Luigi's flying tires - SO not worth the wait...but we were giggling trying to get those darn things going...I think it's easier if you're lighter

I'm a sucker for a parade too - SO nice to see something other than the last 10 years inception of Share A (insert your word here) Come True parade at WDW.

Dinner at Carnation Cafe - great food. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken & Fried Pickles

Tomorrowland - oh Tomorrowland you need HELP!!!!!!!! What an eye-sore!!!! Made me so mad!! There wasn't anything else that upset me more than the state/condition of Tomorrowland

Ughhhhhhhh...just look at this...BAD SHOW!!!!

Innoventions - aka shell of Carousel of Progress - had the Tony Stark thingy which was cool!

Tomorrowland doesn't look SO bad at night...because you can't see the old/abandoned stuff..

Magical & Fantasmic!

Several things - DL's castle at night is NOTHING compared to WDWs castle at night (Sorry DL people). I thought it was odd that they don't do the fireworks every night so we had to plan around the fireworks. Dumbo - however - totally made up for Magical not being NEARLY as "good" as Wishes. Since I don't like Tinkerbell...I won't comment on her...

Fantasmic! at DL is 10x better than Fantasmic! at WDW. LOVED the pirate ship!! I understand it's a space-thing - However - I did not like the way they do the "seating" for Fantasmic! We got there right after the fireworks and lined up immediately behind the "sitting only" section which was jam-packed. Well...as soon as the show started, some people in front of us stood up and I was like: Um excuse me, you're in a "sitting only" section - I got some BS excuse that they couldn't sit b/c there wasn't enough room. Not my problem - I went and got a cast member who told them either to sit, or move out of that section Yay me and Yay castmember for laying down the law.

Day 5 - Saturday - Since we heard that Saturday is the busiest day in the parks we decided to do our non-Disney day. We did the LA/Hollywood experience tour and it was quite fun actually. The next few posts will be non-Disney related...

I'll try to remember what we did - traffic was horrible so our tour bus driver (who was awesome by the way!) took a detour for us. Now I live in South Dakota - I know SQUAT about traffic jams so some of this may be boring for you...

1st stop was Hollywood Boulevard - aka Walk of Fame. Our driver "warned" us about the types of people on HB and he was right. I would NOT want to visit this place after dark but seeing the stars, theatre & Hollywood sign were cool
