Who is more likely to release all the Disney classics on 4K? That's the only thing that matters to me at this point.

I still don't know who's side I should be on. Maybe I'll just let the shareholders decide what's best for the company and we'll see. But I'm going to be honest, I'm afraid this year's Shareholders Meeting is going to be so much hell than last years.

More proof this is the company Disney parks fans should really fear, they have a history of forcing out CEOs and selling off assets and now they have publicly stated they want Disney to sell off their land assets, much of which is likely meant for theme park and hotel expansion. They sound like the true threat.

Interesting idea about spin-off the real estate assets into its own entity. However I'm not sure that would be beneficial in the long term as I assume that a lot of Disney's value is tied to its real estate assets. It would make capital harder to get as they couldn't then leverage the real estate anymore.

Plus I assume then there would have to be lease terms that would then be tied to the new company, which then Parks or whomever would have to pay.

It would just make things a mess in my opinion.

But its not really "selling off" in this case. They are talking about spinning off the real estate to its own company, still until Disney's control but run by another CEO.

This is a common thing among many activists as the value of real estate ends up making more money in the long term. But in this case I don't see it as a real benefit to Disney, as I noted in my post above.

No bloody way Disney decides to go for a REIT. They barely make any sense for casinos (where they'd really seen a surge over the past 5 years), never mind a company where most of the value when it comes to the primary profiting segment of the business at the moment, happens to be in the land and the buildings on said land!

I agree, it wouldn't make sense for Disney.

After yesterday's Earnings Call, I'm on Bob Iger side. While Peltz has a good point on Disney's underperformance problems,, but I have a feeling that what Peltz is doing makes me feel suspicious.🤔

I dont know what to make of Peltz either, I have been loosely following it. Razulo coming in with him, makes me feel a bit better, but I know Rasulo is a hard core bean counter and not creative at all from what I remember of the man. I have some stock but I do agree that this current board, is just a bunch of Iger Yes men rubber stamping whatever he wants.

To be honest, I‘m kind of glad I read Iger’s statement and he may have a point.🙂And I’m starting to get very suspicious on Nelson Peltz. Is Peltz going to destroy Disney?😢
No. Even if he gets on the board, he and Rasulo don't have enough seats to force any changes they want.
