During this festive time of year, nothing brings people together like the burning immortal hatred of Leave a Legacy.

Die! Die foul beast, die!

Now we just need to start on that wand...

next the grave markers

Hopefully the tombstones will be moved off the esplanade soon and to some other location where the people who paid to be immortalized in steel can see them when they wish.

Even though I hate them... I still have my own little pic up there. It's cool. But, I want those things moved. And I want the old logo back in the fountain.

merf, I'd respect you a lot more if you'd just say what you think for once, instead of all this beating around the bush.

And a classic summertime tradition was born...young and old alike can make lasting memories for years to come destroying hunks of turd-brown granite with just a few sledgehammers and a permit from the Orange County Comptroller.

I would gladly pay the upcharge to leave that legacy...

Commemorated by a piece of used car lot-like flashing sequins off the stars adorning spaceship earth.

Side note:

Someone get that poor cynlindrical speaker housing some Rustoleum. Think security would stop me if i brought in paint chips to try and match its original color?

I was kinda shocked by the "tombstones" in the entrance plaza. It felt really crowded and cluttered. I hope they move them.

Sigh...I guess I'm the only person who doesn't mind Leave a Legacy...even though I can never find my photo on there.
Wonder where they'll put them until the agreements run out? And won't the guests who bought a spot recently be annoyed?

I'm sorry if I sound ignorant, but what is/was "Leave a Legacy" anyways? I haven't been to Disney in years so excuse my stupidity.

It was the replacement to the 'Walk Around the World' bricks. You paid a fee (Started at $75 I believe and went down to $25 eventually) to have a picture taken of you and then etched into stainless steel and placed on monoliths at the park entrance.
