Not just WDI... middle suites at TDO know the park has a big problem too.

Maybe the middle ones can get the top ones on board, even though Al is stating otherwise but he never has anything positive to say about wdw anyway. Heres a question though, I wonder if the plans include removal of the hat??? :) the dreaming continues.

I still think the answer for this park is themed studios lots. It sticks with the movie theme and is in essence already there it just needs to be beefed up.

Pixar Studio - Add a couple more rides, take over the backlot.Move Pizza Planet. Do Ride and Go Seek and make the incredibles an awesome ride. For characters that are always out they have no ride! Totally take over the backlot. Add in the kiddy bugs rides and toy story rides. Ratatouille. The only thing I wouldn't add is Wall-e because that should be a new tomorrowland dark ride in place of Stitch.

Lucasfilm Studio - Star Tours, Indy - I'd add a second star wars ride or an actual indy ride. The stunt show needs to go. Restaurants.
Muppet Studios - Keep MuppetVision, add a ride, Turn Mama Melrose into a Muppet Restaruant and same for Pizza Planet
Walt Disney Studios - Revamp the Area, keep the drawing class, lose the rest, Build Florida Toon Town here. Bring Back the houses but make them super interactive.
Hollywood Studios - This is sunset boulevard.

No i know this can never happen but Streets of New York would be the perfect Marvel Studios because Marvel is all about New York.

Finally revamp the movie ride.

This sounds cool! Maybe the other Disney parks might do something similar if this is popular.
Now that Disney owns The Muppets and because the property has gotten a recent spike in popularity, why not dig up the old plans to build a Muppets themed land? It could happen...
Yes, I agree that The Muppets are currently popular. The DVD of the 2011 Muppets movie is one of the top 100 movies on Amazon now (currently at #60), I saw someone watching the 2011 Muppets movie in their car on my last vacation, and some teens were playing with the plush dolls of The Muppets at the Disney store. So it is 100% likely that it will get a land at Tokyo Disney Land.

There will never be a Muppet Land in DHS.
I wouldn't rule it out if I were you. The Muppets did well enough for Disney wanting a sequel and Disney owns the Muppets.

Let's say the next Muppet Movie Disney does is a huge box office hit. Disney would look at expanding the presence of the Muppets at DHS in that scenario. The only two things Disney has to do in that case as options. The first Meet and greets. The 2nd option is to build a Swedish chief Restaurant or another Muppet attraction.

And or turning the Great Movie Ride into the Great Muppet Movie Ride. Hey I know its not the muppet area of the park but....its not far fetched either.

WELL THEN
Back on topic here folks....

posted this article today entitled, "Major Changes Coming to Studio Tram Tour at Disney Hollywood Studios in 2013"

Is this preparation for the infamous Pixar place expansion??

Looking at the image, can anyone give a better explanation to exactly where this is?

edit: okay so I think I figured it out
Man in great with gimp:rolleyes::confused:....
At least it shows the location..

I saw no one comment about this... Was it debunked already or... ?

My biggest issue is that the park is very "disjointed". There are lot of great attractions there: Tower, RnR, TSMM, Muppet Vision, Movie Ride, Star Tours, LMA. But they lack a continuity. "Pixar Place" should be renamed "Pixar Attraction". It's not a place one only one thing exists there. The park lost a lot of it's soul when they destroyed the backlot tour and got ride of all the animators. And it's saying a lot that it's "soul" was entangled with these two things.

In many ways, it DOES need a DCA makeover to give it a vision.

Can't debunk what I can't really understand. Just looks like red doodling on a photo.

If I assume that it somehow shows the guest areas expanding back into the production areas, then yes, it kinda fits what I've been hearing for years. I had a diagram in my photo album here on the site....those albums still here?

I think that this is the best idea I've heard thus far concerning the themed studio lands. Then just name it "The Studios" or something different. I'm really not a fan of the name "Disney's Hollywood Studios".

Yea I was kinda hoping someone could explain the photo to me as well. The original blueprint in the link was even worse to me. Thanks to the OP for kinda putting the satellite image under it, but it's still confusing & doesn't really explain much. Thanks, Lee.

In my dream world, Disney shuts down DHS for an entire year, pouring money and creative resources into it while breaking every building speed record in the world. Keeping the best attractions, DHS reopens with a new focus, new layout, and NO hat.

I could wait a year for this...

They just overlaid the survey drawing of a recent notice onto an aerial photo. The article was just about work in the queue and tram area - it doesn't say anything actually inferring larger change. Its more 'leaps' than anything.

And you know this...how?

And I just checked Amazon. Yes, the film is #60 in the category "Kids and Family" but it's #2,135 overall. Neither of those rankings are what I'd call mind-blowing...

Anyway, I disagree; Disney doesn't need a Muppetland in DHS. After the current glow of nostalgia fades, it'd be a ghost town, in my opinion. What DHS needs is more DISNEY-related stuff. Hey, Disney's made a few movies too, you know...
