D23 Disneyland/DCA Predictions!

I'm probably in the minority but I really do not want TRON for Disneyland. It's just too big for Disneyland, there's no space for it without cramping up against guests and that canopy is gonna be seen from EVERYWHERE.
This has already been debated in this forum before. But I think it was proven that with a complete overall and removal of the Subs and part of Autopia it would fit.

However I think the idea is pretty lukewarm in the forum, so you're not alone.

I say get rid of the subs and get rid of autopia and tear down tomorowland except space mountain and start fresh. gives u tron and some new dark rides and a proper rockets ride.

The Matterhorn is 68 feet taller than TRON Light Cycle.

TRON is only 2 feet taller than DL's Space Mountain.

Where did you get the idea it was twice as tall as it really is?
I've seen plenty of videos online and it looks huge. Also matterhorn looked really small to me when I visited.
And you're forgetting width, something that gets overlooked when comparing sizes of things, it really makes something feel that much more massive. it's freaking huge in terms of width.

You can't just copy and paste what is in Shanghai or in WDW to compare. They'd obviously make adjustment to track and such.

Its the show building that is the largest piece. And again I think it was shown that it could fit in the location from Subs to Launch Bay.

I think you're forgetting who's in charge... $$

Vekoma & Disney designed a second TRON ride with a new track that was to be in Disney World to fit in the footprint of the speedway, but it would have costed more money than if it was just a clone. I think WDW Tron showed us they are not going to change the footprint of the track in new Tomorrowlands...

We'll see, if it gets announced or not. If it does then I'm sure this debate will rise up again with everyone saying it won't fit and then all the photoshoppers and armchair Imaginners on here showing it can.

Not one cent will be committed to a new Tomorrowland until a full assessment of the Galaxy’s Edge effectiveness has been made. That will require RotR to be open for at least the better part of a year. You’ll be lucky to have a new Tomorrowland announced at 2021’s D23 Expo. No chance at 2019’s.
So what are your predications then for DLR at D23, no investment in DLR beyond Marvel Land? And even then a complete budget cut to Marvel Land because of GE?

Or something else.

Ok there is no freaking way the tron structure is only 78 feet tall.

sleeping beauty castle is 77 feet tall and that looks way smaller than the height of the tron structure

that's insane

I will bring my barf bag just in case an overhyped Tron clone is announced.
since it looks like you've been to both, how would you compare the size of the tron building to the landmarks at disneyland?
edit: like would it dwarf any of them at all?

The 2019 Expo is all about Epcot and the already announced Marvel offerings. Runaway Railway too. Nothing else on the theme park front (unless there's some inexpensive dark horse like Pixar Pier at the last Expo).

I suspect they've penciled in a new Tomorrowland for DL's 75th. So we may get an announcement for that sometime in 2022 with details at the 2023 D23 Expo.
