I wish you the best in this effort.....I certainly admire your passion, but I do hope that your "missions" are based on facts and not rumors. If you want anyone to take you seriously (and by anyone, I mean WDW and WDC), you would certainly lose a lot of credibility if you base your "missions" on pointless rumors, like that which occured with The Land balloons.

I'm pretty sure they're going, but they might not be. They are already gone right now, but they might return. All just speculation.

I posted the rumors that the balloons were going away (as was told to me by multiple sources). Of course, projects can constantly be changed, and I was informed that the balloons will return. Again, none of this is fact.

However, the balloons WERE removed several weeks ago. They have since been repainted at the MGM backlot.

Speck pointed out how in a few of my posts here I made it sound as though the balloons were being removed for good as a fact. Which is a good lesson to learn, to always make sure posts are clearly marked "rumor" or "fact."

Who knows. Maybe the posts here brought 'em back. :lol:

I know I plan on posting here just as much as always and still spend some time over on D-Troops Forums. It just wouldn't be the same without some of you guys on here.

Of course. The forums are only to have a place for D-Troops to discuss the missions, etc. I have no plans to post any less here, which may be a bad thing for some people.

They were rumored to not be included in the new Land design.....some people here threw a fit like I have never seen before. The balloons were removed in early December, but they have been spotted in the scenic shops at WDW. They have since been rumored to be returning to The Land.

Basically, two rumors that really upset a lot of people....the could have never been left out of the original plan to redo The Land, or, they could be returning.....either way, two conflicting rumors that may or may not have had any base in reality.

We don't know yet. I made sure I used the words "may/rumored/etc" as much as possible, so I apologize where I left it out. What was posted was the best information at that time.

I think the situation is much like the Dan Rather/George W Bush situation earlier this fall......rumors were reported, they may or may not be true, but what benefit came from the reporting of such rumors......and was the benefit, if there was one, worth the issues that were caused.
