OK, thanks. But a few more things...
Reading through the Declaration of Sentiment I read about the changes to Future World....and I honestly have to say that I do support the idea of thrill rides in WDW...but what makes Disney's rides different and unique is that they have a story to go with them. That's what's separates them from Six Flags.
Let me ask for a point of clarification: Are you opposed to thrill rides at Disney that LACK story...or opposed to thrill rides at disney, period?
If you're aiming to just make sure these thrill rides are of quality with good story, then I fully support that. But i wouldn't support something that tries to say that Test Track and Mission Space shouldn't have happened. Or that future world west SHOULDN'T get a thrill ride. Why shouldn't it? As long as it's unique, and of high quality, go for it I say.
Coming back to SGE.....are we opposed to the attraction itself or the shortcomings of the story? I am 100% in support of SGE and really anything that deals with Stitch.
I was one of Savedisney's soldiers you might say. I tilted at windmills in some of the most obscure places just to find supporters. Heck even technical forums saw postings by me trying to spread the word for Savedisney. So believe me, I am fighting on the side of QUALITY and CARING and attention to detail at Disney. Yes. But I am in no way shape or form opposed to "new" characters.
The way that the SGE thing is worded on the site sort of makes it sounds like Stitch is just some sort of throwaway fad compared to Nine-Eye. I don't think it's quite right to express it that way. Stitch is a new character that has found his way into people's hearts. Let's not compare him against a classic WDW character and say Stitch doesn't belong. No. Let's just make sure that Stitch, like the others, is given a rightful, respectable, place in the World. So that Stitch can join the ranks of the classic WDW characters. Not confined to a cheapened attraction that could be so much more. (I admit this, even though I love SGE).
