This was my experience of moving to the US also.

Under the immigration laws of the United States, a foreign national who applies for an immigrant visa abroad, or who seeks to adjust status to a permanent resident while in the United States, is required to receive vaccinations to prevent the following diseases:
  • Mumps
  • Measles
  • Rubella
  • Polio
  • Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
  • Pertussis
  • Haemophilus influenzae type B
  • Hepatitis B
  • Any other vaccine-preventable diseases recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices

If the migrants are the problem and source of Texas problems, then one should assume that the counties nearest the border will have the most cases right? Let’s look at the map and see what counties in Texas have the most cases per capita:

As you can see cases are not centered around the Mexico border, but the Gulf border. Clearly illegal aliens are the source, but it’s migrants from Atlantis not Mexico.
Do you not understand that the Government is flying and busing illegals all over the country?

There is no single source. This is an impact from outside as well as inside sources. Finger pointing is not helpful.

Iceland, 93% vaccinated yet seeing their largest rise in cases yet. Also, a majority of new cases are breakthrough. Per your reasoning, we should "blame" the vaccinated. Just to be clear, I'm not saying we actually should blame the vaccinated. Blaming any specific sector is ridiculous and dangerous, IMO.

The should the parks close debate is kind of pointless. With how crazy things are here in FL Disney would of done it already if they had any intentions on doing it. It is very clear not only is Disney NOT shutting down, they are moving forward in opening more and more things.

Big win for the cruise line industry with the judge's ruling. However, I dont think we have seen the end of that. We all know how this goes back and forth from court to court, judge to judge. Since this is an actual law that was signed into legislature, its going to be a lot harder than people think to completely get rid of it. I warned of this many many many pages ago. Wouldn't be surprised if it went all the way to the Supreme.

So Iceland is this years Sweden, huh?

I know this is nuts coming from me…but can we stop with the nonstop dog whistle politics and go back to debating APs and standby waits?
I renewed my gold pass yesterday before the inevitable restructure. I had saved up a bunch of gift cards from Christmas and my birthday. Had $450 in gift card ready to go, paid $200 out the door for my AP. Not a bad deal!

Just skimming through the injunction, it was pretty damning. It may take time but I have a hard time thinking the law can hold up. My bigger fear isn’t that it will be upheld, but that we might start to see attempts to fix the many “shortcomings” noted in the injunction and how far are they willing to go? Tennessee’s Department of Health is getting out of general vaccine advocacy, will the political spite seek some to undo existing vaccine requirements?

I’ve read several articles about the numbers in Iceland. I never took it as a “vaccinations don’t work” argument…only that eventually the vaccinated cases will be larger than the unvaccinated due to almost everyone there being vaccinated.

Yep.

And for what seems like the umpteenth time, that needs to be explained to some (not you), the vaccines were never meant to completely prevent cases; they need to prevent serious complications / death for the the majority, and they are still doing that.

Will go to appeals court next and then to Supreme. I really think that's what will happen.

Too messy for it not to.

To minors.
Not just coronavirus but all diseases. A disgrace. Perfect example of politics interfering with public safety. If lives for adults and children are a political talking point, what can possibly bring everyone together anymore? If someone can explain to me the reasoning for this I’m all ears. I have read and reread it over and over and it makes no sense except one party wanted it removed and they have majority. All reasoning I have read makes no sense.

Speak for yourself.
I don't live in Tennessee but as far as I can tell they are doing it because they don't want to be accused of solicitation of minors, because that is exactly what it is.
I'm sure parents of TN (you know the citizens who vote there) felt it wasn't the place of a government entity to be pushing vaccines on to their children. I've got no problem with that as long as parents are legally responsible for the health and care of their children under 18 then that is who should be being "pushed" into getting their kids vaccinated.
Good on them for standing up for what is right. Hopefully more states follow suit and stop using children as political pawns when it comes to vaccines.
