There is a logic to that…I’m not gonna argue that point - but there isYep. Twice actually. No other closures. Just specifically that WDW should close.

Nurses I know, friends and family still do their 530am-6pm or 530pm- 6am shift 3 days a week , 4 days off even though the hospital is overrun with patients due to the pandemic. They have not been required to work more hours at this time.I have a friend who's a single mom and was a nurse in the hospital up until 6 months ago. With the additional hours at work she wasn't able to find childcare to cover and had to switch to a nursing job at a private practice.
I can see requiring masks and social distancing but to close parks is just crazy. Why should anyone who is vaccinated be denied a vacation? Those who are not vaccinated should not have the right to deny the rest of us anything. Now, for those who say WDW should close because of the spike, why don't you concentrate of parks not even requiring masks indoors. They really probably should be closed…conditions as they currently are…
that doesn’t mean shut down restaurants and padlock the schools in 50 states…but amusement parks? Probably for now. Just to discourage people from entering the state that is being defiantly uncontrolled.
now would they even consider it? No…not at all. So Disney should do what it can to protect themselves. The unions labor getting on board with the vax requirements would be a good start
It would be great if these places held vaccination clinics. One church in Jacksonville FL had 6 of their own die of covid in the last 2 weeks. Now the church has gone ahead to make their church in addition to church services , a vaccination clinic. It’s not controversial to me. It’s just odd to bring up as a major point. I’m guessing the race in Nashville and the motorcycle gathering in Sturgis will also have major contributions to the spread.
I think you missed the point?I can see requiring masks and social distancing but to close parks is just crazy. Why should anyone who is vaccinated be denied a vacation? You mean like this?:Just saying..again.. vaccination passports would stop the “close the park” “ keep the park open” debate. Would also let cruises get back out there. Also would get more people the jab without a doubt. The only ones that would complain are the ones refusing to get it. I’m not talking about ones that can’t fit particular reasons. In my head there’s no downfall to it. Cue the infringing arguments.![]()
That's right blame the people of Texas for the recent surge in people entering this country undocumented, infected and unvaccinated rather than place the blame where it belongs.Nobody is letting people cross the border. And if Texas is worried about COVID, then perhaps they should do whatever they can to improve their miserable 44% vaccination rate.
Nope, just put the blame for Texas' current COVID surge where it lies- the 66% of the population that is not fully vaccinated despite every chance to do so.That's right blame the people of Texas for the recent surge in people entering this country undocumented, infected and unvaccinated rather than place the blame where it belongs.
What about LA, MS, MO, AL, and FL? Why is Covid so bad there, and is there perhaps some shared reason why TX is approaching those states in regards to cases? That's right blame the people of Texas for the recent surge in people entering this country undocumented, infected and unvaccinated rather than place the blame where it belongs.
It’s the old tried and true…” look over here at this” . Magicians have been doing it for centuries. What about LA, MS, MO, AL, and FL? Why is Covid so bad there, and is there perhaps some shared reason why TX is approaching those states in regards to cases?
The Deep South leads the nation in categories no state wants to lead in. It is truly embarrassing and sad. The area has some of the friendliest people, though. What about LA, MS, MO, AL, and FL? Why is Covid so bad there, and is there perhaps some shared reason why TX is approaching those states in regards to cases?
If the migrants are the problem and source of Texas problems, then one should assume that the counties nearest the border will have the most cases right? Let’s look at the map and see what counties in Texas have the most cases per capita:It’s the old tried and true…” look over here at this” . Magicians have been doing it for centuries.
So have politicians. It’s the old tried and true…” look over here at this” . Magicians have been doing it for centuries.
Probably longer then magicians. Agreed. So have politicians.
I think most of us know this. But that is a great chart. If the migrants are the problem and source of Texas problems, then one should assume that the counties nearest the border right? Let’s look at the map and see what counties in Texas have the most cases per capita:

As you can see cases are not centered around the Mexico border, but the Gulf border. Clearly illegal aliens are the source, but it’s migrants from Atlantis not Mexico.
Iceland, 93% vaccinated yet seeing their largest rise in cases yet. Also, a majority of new cases are breakthrough. Per your reasoning, we should "blame" the vaccinated. Just to be clear, I'm not saying we actually should blame the vaccinated. Blaming any specific sector is ridiculous and dangerous, IMO.Nope, just put the blame for Texas' current COVID surge where it lies- the 66% of the population that is not fully vaccinated despite every chance to do so.
Of all the counties on the southern borders from San Diego to Miami, those bordering Mexico are mostly the lightest. If the migrants are the problem and source of Texas problems, then one should assume that the counties nearest the border will have the most cases right? This was my experience of moving to the US also.
Under the immigration laws of the United States, a foreign national who applies for an immigrant visa abroad, or who seeks to adjust status to a permanent resident while in the United States, is required to receive vaccinations to prevent the following diseases:
- Mumps
- Measles
- Rubella
- Polio
- Tetanus and Diphtheria Toxoids
- Pertussis
- Haemophilus influenzae type B
- Hepatitis B
- Any other vaccine-preventable diseases recommended by the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices
