Cinderella's Chateau Discussion

I don't think it seems odd IMO. Well, a permit has been filed named MK - North Site Development - D/B Facility Package. I speculate that it has to do with this expansion? What do you guys think? Could construction be underway?

Just to put up some specs:

-This will be constructed by Construction. They have been used for the creation of the World of Disney store at DTD.
-John C. Blitch, the Vice President of Walt Disney Imagineering has signed this paper. Leading me to believe this means business.

Most likely it means "Design & Build" Facility Package". Chances are this is the installation of the construction trailers to oversee the project, just like how we saw the trailers built at the STOLPort for the construction of Bay Lake Tower.

-Rob
Looks promising. :D

My opinion on the large show building is pretty much the same as Rob's... if I understood correctly. There will more than likely be two or three 'show' rooms inside the Chateau, similiar to Toontown's current meet and greet experience, in order to keep more people flowing through the attraction.

My questions about the attraction however, are this:

1.) Will we still get a chance to take photos with Cinderella, sign books, etc? Or will it be a "hey, group photo while we're watching Cinderella dance with other kids!" sort of thing, cutting us adults out of the meet and greet experience entirely.

2.) Will the Tremaine family also be moved near the Chateau? It is their home, after all, and I would love to see them meeting outside, or maybe in a room somewhere inside the house. Maybe I'm biased, but I would love to see them close to home. (And not cut out completely!)

Yes. That is the case.

Normal meet&greet is the main function of the...*cough*..."attraction."

So far as I know, only Cinderella and her godmother will be at the chateau.
Answers in bold.

So it will simply be...

-Go in the chateau
-Watch the Cindy transformation
-Take pictures and leave??

Yeah, in a nutshell. At some point she has/gives dancing lessons, but that's pretty much the whole *cough* "attraction".

Your joking right...?:brick::brick::dazzle:

That's pure bull....!!! I can't believe it's just that! Lol. Oh boy, those M&G's... I mean they are immersive, and highly themed and well, as far as we know pretty well executed, but I'm sure they could have done better... Not in the M&G's, those are great, but they could added a few more attractions here and there...

Exactly. That's been my stance the whole time.
It's one new attraction, one relocated, one re-themed, a new restaurant and some shops.
Oh, yeah.....some trees and water.

 Whoo-hoo.....

I honestly love it for what it is, but they could have put more attractions. I mean this expansion has everything! Theming, atmosphere, upgrades here and there, eateries, kinetics, EVERYTHING, all it needs is a few attractions here and there, I'll even take a C or D ticket! Just give us some attractions... Oh well, I'm happy for what it is.

We do have the rumored Pixie Spinner coming in 2013.

The current plans for PH do not include a spinner ride. Or any ride, really. Not right now.

My bad - this is TDO. I forgot well rounded entertainment is not in their vocabulary. Luckily I have become used to mediocrity from WDW and still have DL to impress me.

IMHO, this is probably the biggest waste of space in the whole FL expansion (with a possible exception to Pixie Hollow). For one thing, it takes up so much space! It practically takes up 1/4 of the entire FL expansion area, and for what? A glorified meet n greet! They could easily be putting a huge new advanced dark ride in that space.

Or they can use any funds they have for "a huge new advanced dark ride" in TL or one of the other parks.

FLE is perfect for what it is intended for! And that is families with young children. It really will "complete" FL. And the MK will be essentially complete from a theming and aesthetics perspective except for the back half of Tomorrowland. FL and TL really have never seemed whole and coherent since opening in 1971. This will fix FL. TL's fix will be more along the lines of what people are lokking for here on these boards IMO.
