Cinderella's Chateau Discussion

And what in the world is that windmill-like thing behind the Cindy building?
It seems random, but referring to the plans, it may be a little shop.

Or a DVC Booth. :lookaroun

After looking at the blueprint, it appears that the large building also houses the Aurora area (maybe 20 percent or so). So, probably not room for a dark ride. I guess we'll see! Bring on the cranes and bulldozers!

Putting a rough layout of the concept art show building on the plans, and highlighting the other attractions, shows this is a fairly big building. Notice that it is apparently in addition to the Cindy and Aurora M&G buildings.

I think people are having trouble connecting the concept art to the blueprint, moving from two dimensions into three in terms of the Cinderella attraction.

Yes, there's a big "show building" in the concept art, but everything that'll be in it is already on the blueprint. Look on the color-coded blueprint again in the post directly above this post. The phycial "chateau" is only the front, center section of what's marked in purple. Compare the multi-angled part at the front to the concept art, and you'll see that *that* is all that is the chateau.
The rest of what's labeled the "Cinderella Attraction" in the blueprint *is* the show building seen in the concept art. Look at how is sticks out on either side of the chateau. The show building will obviously be hidden somehow. The Aurora part of the show building juts out to the right, curving around behind the Pooh area.

It's not going to be a ride, there's no "extra" show building for a surprise attraction. It's just a representation of what's already been shown in the blueprint.

EDIT:
I made my own version of the color-coded blueprint to show what I was referring to:
Chateau.jpg

The physical chateau seen in the concept art is marked in purple.
The show building being discussed here is marked in blue. This will contain the Cinderella "attraction"/Meet & Greet that's already been discussed.
The Aurora part of the show building (and the cottage seen in one of the pieces of concept art) is marked in green.
The only thing I didn't mark was the merchandise location stuck onto the backside of the show building that faces the Little Mermaid attraction. (And will most likely be themed to Little Mermaid, as it's directly across the path from the attraction exit.)

I think once you understand what's what on the blueprint, it'll make the concept art clearer.

Thanks for the breakdowns :)

I really hope Cindy has some other attraction to it to go with the large showbuilding.

I wonder if the actual chateau will be used at all- similar question: is Haunted Mansion's facade (the house) housing anything or is it just walls and nothing else?

Haunted Mansion's facade is strictly the space that the Stretching Rooms expand up into (one in each "wing"), plus some CM bathrooms one level above the foyer level.

The actual Chateau looks to only be the entrance area for the M&G "attraction". From there, you're ushered into one of two identical sets of rooms, similar to Haunted Mansion's twin stretching rooms or Stitch's twin show chambers.

Those twin sets of M&G rooms make up the bulk of the Cinderella show building. The rest is just backstage dressing rooms/bathrooms, access hallways and a stairway down to the new mini-Utilidor to get over to the entrance to the main Utilidor system.

Think for yourselfer
The more I think about these new experiences, the less excited I become. Ugh, all this money for M&Gs. It better be visually stunning, knock you off your feet stunning.

Is the size of the picture supposed to illicit that reaction?

Yeah, I'm moderately OK with SGE. Would prefer AE, seeing that it's more original, but SGE fits TL reasonably well, and honestly isn't that bad. It just gets a very bad rap.

I have to disagree imo it rivals Narnia and Sounds Dangerous as one of the worst attractions in DIsney History. Also I like Stitch, he may be overused but I don't hate him. The only redeeming quality of the attraction is the AA.

Again...You never rode JIYI2.0. :lookaroun

Honestly, I don't like Stitch. But yes, the AA and the effects are the redeeming quality. I honestly can't complain TOO much about it.

What does not nowadays? "The Future That Never Was" is constantly changing. Heck, there was a flight attraction for years!
