I just noticed that the crane did move last night, watched the night set at 5 minutes and from 6:10 to 6:20 this AM you can see it change positions.

Yea, it has been a slow morning at work - rain has pretty much shut us down for the day.

Thats a good point the others don't show that. Anyone been there yet and got pics.

Somebody had posted (maybe on here) that work on the wand itself (presuming the sheet metal facadeon the wand proper) on the parking lot side would be next to go. Maybe they're taking off the facades today to get to the superstructure in the next few days.

Unless you are using "Manly Measurements" I don't see how those can be 5" x 5"! That would make this circle at least 70" in diameter!

Has anyone considered the fact that the wand may be totally removed, however they won't both to removed the actual concrete footers.. They'll just mask it with foliage?

5"x5" was what i guessed for the size of the picture itself for comparison. Not the piece itself.Sorry to confuse you.If you look in one of the pictures recently posted you can see the size of the circles compared to someone standing in front of it.

Just wanted to add from my wife..."Manly Measurements are problems lots of guys have problems with."

The construction footers were there before the wand, and they will be there after the wand.

Original vs. 2000 Wand vs. Epcot Wand

I was trying to remember what SE actually looked like before....

Epcot has been my favorite park for at least the last 15 years and I found on my archives photos of the Original and SE with the 2000 Wand... In my opinion, between the two versions of the Wand, it actually looked much better with Epcot... the 2000 seems very skinny and thin.... you be the judge.... It will be nice to see it restored to it's original glory though.

I never mind Temporary changes, but can you imagine if they would have left the Castle as a Pink Cake for longer than they did.... I think the Wand at Epcot and the Hat at MGM has overstayed their welcome.

See the links below to my archived website with photos of SE from the past.... enjoy....

I personally prefered the 2000 signage to Epcot on the wand, and if i'm not mistaken from looking at a number of photos the numbers were actually larger than the letters.

MUCH larger. For 2000, it was an impressive statement. When they switched to Epcot with the toothpaste, it became "eh" for me.
