Buy 4 get 7 returning! Well sorta!

Ok, here's what is confusing me about this offer - I just went to the WDW site to get quotes for Dec 3-10, to compare non-discounted prices and my search is turning up no free rooms at the value resorts or most of the moderates. The only thing at the moderates are suites at Coronado Springs... if this offer is going to be offered during this time frame, what rooms are going to be filled? And does this make sense for that time frame? We picked this time to go because we expected crowds to be lighter... Or is this just a snafu in Disney's reservation system?

The offer is not out yet... just rumored!

Oh, I know. I was commenting on the fact that according to the WDW site, there are barely any vacant rooms for a time frame that would be covered by this rumored deal, and that would be considered typically a slower time to visit. Basically, I'm not sure why they would feel compelled to offer this deal if there aren't any vacancies on site... unless the WDW site is being "Goofy".

Promotions are used to fill vacant rooms - they're probably running it during October-December to fill what is left, since the Free Dining promotion is ending today; and then this will fill what is left and carry into January-March 2010.

Those dates are full for values and moderates due to Pop Warner being that week. We went those dates last year and had the same issue. The value and moderates are pretty much filled up. However the parks are relatively light.

I don't know anything about the discount. But that is why the hotels are booked.

I noticed doing some searches this week a lot more booked dates for Values through December. Mods and Deluxes seemed to be wide open.

Man, I was hoping to avoid the Pop Warner crowds by staying at a moderate. Figured they'd be all over the values... oh well...

Sorry, misread!

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a question. I have been debating getting an annual pass. If I were to book this special (if it actually happens) would I be able to apply the value of the magic your way tickets towards an annual pass when I got on site?

Or maybe the better question; is it a better idea to just buy the annual pass and use the annual passholders discounts for a mid November trip?

Okay everyone...bear with me for a minute.....

We're planning on going to Pop Century January 20th-27th. We haven't booked anything yet.

1. If this deal is released, will it make Pop Cenutry fill up really fast? I mean, will I need to book ASAP?

2. Will this deal make the parks extra crowded? We went to WDW in late January 2008 and the crowds weren't bad at all.

3. If this deal is released, will I need a PIN code or something? If so, where do I get that?

4. If by some chance the deal isn't released until after I've booked our room/tickets....will it be applied to my existing reservation? What if I've already paid in full? Would I get a refund or something?

I've not been in this situation before but it's my understanding that if you have paid in full then get a discount that creates a credit on your reservation it will either be refunded to the source you originally paid from or it will sit there and be a credit on your room for you to use for your room charge. I think I was told you have a choice but I can't remember for sure so I don't want to say 100%. Either way, you'll get your money back. You won't be forfeiting it to the Disney Gods.

On the 4/3 deal they offered for this year, didn't they extend it a couple of times? Is it likely that they will extend this one past the original March date?

1. I would book as soon as possible if you definetly plan on going, deal or no deal. They may or may not fill up the existing rooms at PC

2. No, it was a better deal this last January, so I would suspect similar or perhaps smaller crowds.

3. No, it will probably open up to Disney Visa card holders first, then to the general public.

4. You will recieved credit. It will either be taken off the bill you run uo there at WDW or later to your credit card. You will not be out any money.

We booked with Pam for our '09 WDW trip. We went in June and did the 4/3 offer at The Boardwalk. I don't remember exactly when we booked, but we went June 6-13, primarily because we could get the 4/3 offer at the deluxe and hit my husband's birthday...gettting the $75 gift card.

We'd probably go again next summer and try another deluxe if they offered this 4/3 deal when we could go.

We didn't go in January 2009. We were there in January 2008. The crowds were pretty low (at least I thought so anyway.) So I'm wondering if this 4/3 stuff made it crowded in 09.

So if anything gets announced today for Disney Visa cardholders, wonder how we will find out? I get a lot of email from them about random things, but it mostly goes to the junk folder. If I see anything though I can post it here *fingers crossed*

Buy 4 get 7 is officially back. I just called reservations and they confirmed it. It doesn't work for us because we are coming on the first, but its available now.

touringplans.com says "Travel dates are November 1, 2009 through December 24, 2009 and January 3, 2010 through March 27, 2010." Previous talk had it starting October 1st. Oh well, we would've only saved about $150 by swapping the free dining for the 4/3. Maybe we can budget for an early 2010 trip though!
