I'm still with St.Louis, in 6 maybe 7. But the fans are hyped .....theguys do great here, won all 4 against the Astros, then they will be ridin the wave and win one more in Fenway.

Side note, what is with the deaths and major injuries this year? We had a 26 yr old police man, get hit by a drunk driver outside of Busch and he had to have both of his legs amputated and is still not doing well.

SLAM-A-LAM-A-DING-DONG!!!!!!!
GO CRAZY FOLKS, GO CRAZY!!!!!!

hmmm, Rob has been a Sox fan for as long as I've know him on here.

And you know, for a Red Sox fan, you sure seem to have a bitter streak about you right now about stuff. Lighten up and enjoy their success right now!

Go Sox. Wouldn't mind seeing Shilling wrap things up in game 6 but I'll take it anyway they can get it. Since the Reds aren't in it, gotta root for the Reds-ox. Besides, we took enough beatings from the Cards which did nothing for my liking that team.

Wouldn't be suprised if Pedro and Lowe deliver in 4.

Well, despite 8 errors in only 2 games, the Sox still find themselves up 2-0. According the the stats they gave last night, 77% of teams up 2-0 have won the whole series. Well, here's hoping that number increases slightly and we see Boston win it all. I don't really feel like waiting another 20 years for the Sox next World Series appearance. ;)

Edit: On a side note, I just got a good sign. I'm at a library computer right now and just after posting this message, I looked up to my right and the title of a book caught my attention: "Cowboy Up!" :D

SHHHHHH DON'T SAY THAT!!!

(Remember...this year...we're "idiots" )

Oh...and BTW...gotta stick with Rob on this one...He's been a Sox fan for as long as I've known him too.

EDIT: Might as well do this so it doesn't seem like we're completely overlooking them... CONGRATS ON #21 PATS! :sohappy:

wow.... I'm a bandwagon man on the Red Sox?

That's news to me. Just cause I live in Florida doesn't make me any less of a fan bud, especially with my birth certificate listing my place of birth as 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215, and my first addresses being on Medford/Somerville and in Cambridge. I may not have grown up in Boston, but I still have the birthright, and just like every New Englander (and children of New Englanders) who supports them, I support them because they're my team. And also like every other New Englander who supports the Beans, I also do appreciate the outpouring of support for the Red Sox this time around... even the Yankees fans supporting the Sox.

So pick your battles wisely, because you just lost.

Well, then, who were you directing that comment at? Maybe Brian, whose support of the team only stretches back his whole life? Mad, who wouldn't root against her Yankees for anything?

Maybe it was me. I'm nowhere near Brian and Rob in their devotion, but I've had a special feeling for this team since the end of last season and have been listening to their games on WEEI over the Internet since April.

Or was it really just a random comment? We'd just like to know.

I need a little help. I was working tonight and I didn't get to see the game. What I need to know is who sang "God Bless America" at the 7th inning stretch.

It was Amy Grant. Couldn't tell if she was lip-syncing, though. :lookaroun

Scott...that was Amy Grant. (I believe she's married to Vince Gill)

She was a Christian singer at the beginning of her career.

Pedro went out and gave it his all...

Last two starting pitchers have gone 13 innings and gave up 7 hits and 1 run.

Come on Lowe!

(I just hope the city is still standing if the Sox do pull it off)

She still is considered a Christian singer & as far as I know she is still married to Vince Gill.

Haven't seen any game but part of game one...just can't bring myself to do it.
If I'm not mistaken, I heard the Bambino rolling in his grave last night.
