Congrats to all the Sox fans, especially you, Brian.

As a Yankee fan, the whole thing seems surreal right now, but I've got to hand it to Boston--they fought like s to come back and win 4 elimination games in a row. We may never see this again in our lifetime and hats off to them and to the fans for enduring and always believing.

Where are you, Seano846?

Hope you make it to Boston Andy, it should be one heck of a party.

:brick: Gotta scratch that. Just remembered my son's t-ball championship game is this Saturday. I've got my priorities, ya know. And what a co-incidence! His team just happens to be the RedSox. :sohappy:

Only because I've heard the opposite version of this played way too many times when the Yankees have beaten the Sox:

YANKEES LOSE!! YANKEES LOSE!! THEEEEEEEE YANKEES LOSE!!!

Sorry, just had to get it out of my system. Thank you for a great series Yankees. And thank you for a choke worthy of what Boston usually pulls.

Well wilted, if you read My post it said I wasn't going anywhere, just leaving this topic alone due to the sheer boredom and monotomy of the subject. ( I mean come on, year after year, after year, the same old story)

I think this is now officially my favorite thread of all time! Which one of these gems should I include in my sig line? :D

Red Sox vs. Roger Clemens...........I never would have thought I would see that.

Now I don't know who to pull for? My baseball Hero vs. His old team......
...and you still WON'T see that. You'd think people would learn not to post things early like that. :D See ya in St. Louie!

after 26 years of championships, yan there yankee fans should know that their arrogant and every dispies their team. In that case, red sox fans and diehards , like me, are living on cloud 9.

Prediction for next year: If Lowe does good in his next start then we will see him next year. Pedro, I don't want him back. He doesnt even get past 7 innings and most of his wins were struggles. He an arrogant "bleep" who only cares about how much money he makes. Varitek needs to come back. Am I missing anyone.

And finally-Yankees fans finally get a taste of what redsox diehards go through and most of your fans are there because you expect to win with your humusgus payroll.

is it the one that shows generations of Sox fans sitting in the same seats at Fenway and aging over time lapse while the years roll by at the bottom of the screen? I saw that one a few times this week from my hotel room in Nashua. :)

I'm a Yankee fan, but I'm hear to tell you that championships are not won in July. Yeah, Boston is not having the best of times right now, but are you more satisfied with Boston LOSING rather than NY WINNING? Let's check back in October and see if the Yankees can put together four wins. Then we'll begin the celebration. Just ask the Lakers about that.
I went back to the start of this thread and found what I had posted. Well, at least I found it interesting. Championships are not won until the last out is made in the last inning. NY can tell you all about that now.

Yeah, the developments over the life of this thread have been very interesting, to say the least. If you look closely, you see that our fearless leader only dropped in twice, both times to rub Yankee wins in the faces of people who would presumably care, and both immediately before big collapses by the Bombers (3 game sweep by the Mets, 4 game slide to the Sox).

I find it supremely ironic that a thread started with the intent of allowing one member to crow so loudly about how his team would always dominate another has turned into a discussion of how said team could choke so miserably against said other team. No disrespect to the "good" Yankee fans around here--but if that ain't karma, or mojo, or whatever, I don't know what is.
