In his defense, he DID say he was done posting about baseball here after the last time. Looks like he picked a good time to rise above such a petty topic, eh? I'm sure he'll be enlightening us with threads on quantum physics and third world relief in the future now that he's no longer interested in talking about baseball with all us poor pathetic Sox supporters. :D

Ya know, Andy, I would think so. But based on what I've seen about him, I have a feeling when, at some point next year, the Yankees sweep the Sox in a weekend series to take over first place with about two months left in the season, he'll be back to tell us how much of a fluke this all was and how much pain we should be expecting at the hands of New York forevermore on.

Thankfully, history suggests that the Yankees will then immediately be swept by the Devil Rays and he'll suddenly rise above the topic again.

Mad:

At least now, you can take a break from all these nervewracking games. The rest of us still have to deal with one more week of it. :animwink:

I'm going with Sox in 7. Cards have not done well on the road in the playoffs and 4 of the 7 are on the road. I think one away game win for each team, with game 7 being won by the Sox in Fenway.

Definately the Cards...

Lets hear it for hometown hero Matt Morris ! :sohappy:

Please don't say that. Matt Morris hasn't done very well this season, if he can get through the early inning he will be fine, but he is a bit flukey now. If our starters can hold up long enough, then our bullpen will take it the rest of the way.

*tears of joy*

I've been in WDW and it seems like Magic does happen there. I left Boston and the Sox were down 3-0 to the Yanks. Magically...they win the next five games (4 in the ACLS and Game 1).

Now...the problem with that is...I'm home!

(BTW Rob...if you had seen the footage from Boston after Game 7...you would've seen the manager of the bar tossing bartabs up in the air...so you are correct sir :) Free beer in beantown).

I would just like to thank the Yanks and the Sox for giving us all one helluva series. (Not only do I have no fingernails left...I'm down to the knuckle!).

So...the question still stands...is the curse broken because the Red Sox beat the Yankees in historic fashion and served them with one of the worst chokes in sports? I'm not so sure about that...one aspect of it is...but don't forget...that 1918 number is still floating around.

Go Sox...I've been keeping the faith...and everyone in Boston believes in you!

sox in 5 games.....it has to be won in boston

If it s gonna be won in Boston....its gonna take SIX!

And thats what I've said from the start, Sox in 6...I mean I'd love to sweep them or lose one down there and win the other 2...but i WANT the win at home!

I don't...trust me, I wish I did!

Casa Freaky will be rockin'

(Rob...Boston is not gonna be the "place to be" if they win  Sadly, the deathtoll will probably rise.)

It doesn't even matter...we already won our "World Series." :sohappy:
