Although this sounds interesting, I'm left wondering what the main building or center would be. I can't think of how Brazil would be best represented (all forum jokes aside). The concept is interesting, but I do wonder about the central theme. Only time will tell if this rumor is true.
You have a point there. When it come to monuments and architecture the only thing that really stands out would be the Christ the Redeemer statue. There are other areas that could be used but most are unknown to the average person. You never really look at a building and say "That looks like Brazillian architecture."

This would certainly be news to me... And if it were to be announced, it would be announced at next year's D23 Expo, but I'm not holding my breath considering I've never even heard this before...

I could understand the push for a Latin American presence other than Mexico, but I don't know about this one.

I'd imagine that Greece or Russia would be more stimulating and visually interesting.

But remember that good old Jose Carioca's home country was Brazil, so it would be a built-in character tie-in. (Jose is still one of my favorite Disney characters, so this would not upset me at all!)

Time will tell, I suppose.

Interesting, I hope you are right, but I haven't heard any rumblings about anything like that.

Thanks for the rumor though.

Thank you for sharing this interesting rumour!

However, I don't buy it. A boat ride up the Amazon river? Like, say, a cruise into the jungle, with fake animals along the shore? I somehow doubt that.

Brazil has some very interesting architecture. Portuguese / colonial style. It is very distinct, and quite pretty.

My wish list for the Brazil pavilion:
A boat ride,
where planting one guy up front means five hundred people are free to skip the line at their convenience,
where one may frantically shout and disturb the peace at will,
and that is a one way cruise to Universal.

I think Brazil would be a great addition! A very naturalistic section, very green with lots of talk of the Rainforests to keep the DisneyNature and environmentality themes going.

I wish Africa had some more representation as well. And Russia would be fascinating.

Well, it's a pretty big place. It's three times the size of Europe and look at how much space is devoted to European countries and influence. Fantasyland is mad European.

some thoughts: I wouldn't mind seeing a scaled-down Lacerda Elevator as the architectural centerpiece of the alleged pavilion. Alas, it's a shame José Carioca has already invaded the Mexico pavilion; he really should have set up shop here. And... an Amazon boat ride? Sounds an awful lot like the Jungle Cruise.
