Rumor Brazil (and maybe others) Pavilion Coming to Epcot [not about Brazilian people nor a country wish list]

When I was at Epcot last week, I found out that some people in my traveling party had no idea that there are expansion spaces everywhere. In the end, it kind of boiled down to me saying “If there are a bunch of trees between the countries, you can add a new country in there.” I didn’t bother trying to mention the Showplace or the sides next to America, that discussion will have to be tabled lol

I’m actually curious to see if the pavilion uses any similar architectural elements that the F&W kiosk has:View attachment 321414

Also, I kind of want to know why Disney doesn’t have this kiosk near the future pavilion space. It’s currently next to Morocco.
I've said it previously, but I hope they focus more on Brazil's modernist architecture as opposed to its colonial structures. Recreating a more mid-century Brasilia/Copa Cabana feel I think would bring a much-needed differentiated vibe to World Showcase.

This will get a LOT of poop hurled at me.
This is coming from a former skipper and a person who made many a contribution to contraband Jungle Cruise jokes that are still circulating around those rivers today...
The Jungle Cruise has slipped past the point of no return, quality wise.
Unless they're going to hire equity actors for the skippers on the boat
there isn't hope for it being the great attraction it was fifty years ago.
I say
get rid of the Jungle Cruise at MK
and create a new version of Jungle Cruise centered around the new film using shanghai pirates tech without the live skippers
and stick it in the Brazil pavilion as I believe that the new movie takes place in the Amazon.
Put a giant Moana mountain ride where the Jungle sat in MK.
MK needs the land for a high capacity family attraction
and Brazil needs a cracker jack new ride.

Things have to change and I don't think Jungle would still be around in its current form if Uncle Cigarettes was still kicking.

Strangely, I’ve had more excellent rides on Jungle cruise in the last two years than any of the previous 20. More skippers truly into the experience.

I couldn't agree more. The past two years or so have been a glorious revival of the Jungle Cruise. Every skipper I've had seemed thrilled to be there. My only complaint would be maybe one skipper who spoke a little too softly, and the almost routine interruption of a joke mid-delivery by a kid standing up.

As always, there are good and bad skippers. It was that way in the 70s. Doubt that will ever change

Since Coco isn’t going into Mexico, the 3 Cabs are going to be held up in that ride, so I have zero ideas as to what’s what IP will end up going in the apparent E-ticket (unless they come up with an original attraction)

No excrement-flinging from moi. I agree with you, and in fact, have proposed such a change myself. The Jungle Cruise is beyond dated, cheezy and cringey. I too have little doubt that Walt would have ripped out or majorly changed and plussed JC long ago. However, I am not down with redoing the ride according to the upcoming film. We don't know if it's going to be any good, and anyway, I'd prefer the JC to have its own identity. In any case, it really needs to go or get plussed. Although I'm not sanguine that it'll ever happen...

Having two of the same IP represented in the same park has never been a showstopper before:
  • FEA/Sommerhus
  • TSM/Saucers/SDD
  • Tales with Belle/BOG
  • Fantasmic!/Mickey M&G/MMRR

And then they'll round out the trio by adding the Caballeros to the American Adventure show! "America.....Spread your Golden Wings....<loud quacking sound interrupts song>...We're three Caballeros..." Synergy!

Frozen- a M&G and a ride in the same Epcot pavilion

Toy Story rides found in Toy Story Land

BatB- really not the same? Themed dining and an interactive M&G

Mickey- semi-relatable in this case, but not entirely. Seeing Mickey in a show vs meet and greet vs ride.

3 Cabs would be different, the focus of two rides in two different Epcot pavilions (unless the E mentioned is a show instead of ride)

Still hoping for a non-IP attraction though

-Same pavilion
-Same land
-Same land
-Mickey is everywhere
Honestly I think the closest comparison would be Alice in Wonderland having two rides in DL’s Fantasyland. Anyways, I really doubt we’ll be getting two 3 Cabs ride in the World Showcase. I am impatient about what the possible E-ticket for Brazil is though.

If they do this in the Outpost area they would still have room between Mexico and Norway for Kenya. 🐃🐘🐯🐽🐆
