The argument between posters who all made sweeping statements about housekeeping has gone on long enough. Both sides are correct as both sides did not, at first post, clarify exactly which resorts were or were not getting daily cleaning/tidying/linen changes/trash pick-up/etc.
But I agree that ALL WDW resorts should have daily housekeeping unless someone opts out. This was pretty much (but of course there are exceptions) standard for most hotels/motels prior to Covid, including WDW hotels (but not DVC) and most (but not all) have gone back to it.
Those who have not are either having staffing problems or trying to save money because if guests accepted it during a Pandemic maybe they won't care anymore.
Obviously, some do. And do not want to pay extra - including having to upgrade to a more expensive hotel - to get something that was included in the past, and as mentioned, is pretty much SOP elsewhere.
So please, no more housekeeping posts.
