Big changes for the McDonald's near All Stars

Thank you for posting the info and pictures. WDWMAGIC always provides the latest in Disney World news. Regarding the changes to the McD's, I have always thought the current building was a great addition to the Disney property. I"m left wondering what caused them to feel a need to go more contemporary in design.

Thanks, Steve.

Doesn anyone have pictures of the way it used to look before construction got started? My mental image of it is really vague, and it would be nice to do a comparison. Thanks.

I liked it the way it was. Although the last time we were there, it was clear it could've used a good power wash.

Call me crazy, but I still don't see why anyone would go to Disneyworld and eat at a McDonald's, given the plethora of options available.

Reminds me of the people who visit NYC and eat at Applebee's in Times Square.

Well you know the whole talking hamburger and milkshake cup is just way too 80's (tic)

Besides... at least something on property is getting a good renovation, although it has nothing to do with the parks.

We ate there the last time I stayed at all stars. Sometimes you just want something quick and cheap. Its good for that.

My only complaint was that it's the freaking south. Offer tea in your restaurant. I can't drink soft drinks because of a stomach issue, I couldn't believe that somewhere in the south didn't offer sweet or unsweet tea.

Aha! I KNEW I wasn't crazy...I always look forward to seeing this, and thought I was nuts when it was just a big plain block. Thanks!

So they're basically turning it into an ordinary McDonald's

(i do like the new design though, they just re-did a few of them near me like this)

Ah man, no more "Master Shake" McDonalds. (I always joked it was like driving past a Micky D's version of Aqua Teen Hunger Force.)

I wonder if the crazy Mc D's on I Drive near Universal will also be getting a facelift.

Let's hope. The entire I Drive area could use some reconfiguring. Perhaps McD's can get the ball rolling and soon because otherwise the future looks pretty bleak for that area.

By the way, I really like this redesign. And I think Disney allowing McD's on property was very guest friendly especially for people on a budget. But I am also glad they are removing them from the parks. See, this is more of an example about the trends at WDW being very positive. All these small and subtle but quality decisions are really adding up to something significant. Way to go TDO! :sohappy:

Looks like they're making it bigger from the art. And as another poster said I always liked seeing that too. But it was showing it's age, and we did eat there once, or at least I walked there and got some food for the family.
